While I have been trained in many different styles and “theories,” my helping approach is fairly straight forward and draws on many different traditions: In my view, there is no doubt that what we have experienced in the past shapes who we are and how we see ourselves, others and the world. Therapy is a process of connecting the dots between where we have been and how those experiences influence our thinking and behavior today. Often, our past experiences have us thinking and acting in ways that are irrational and self-defeating, causing problems in all areas of our lives. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and unconditionally supportive space for folks to share who they are and what they have been through. I partner with them in taking what we might call a “therapeutic microscope” to the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that accompany the circumstances of their lives, supporting them in reinforcing what works and finding alternatives to what does not.
Hello, My name is Marlea Major. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 12 years of clinical experience licensed in Florida and Georgia. My range of experience includes being a veteran, working 20 years as a first responder, counselor for inpatient care clients, Salvation Army working with clients struggling with addictions, and 8 years in the foster care system as a child therapist.
I am warm, empathetic, and believe that each person is to be treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels; working as a first responder and being a Veteran I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help and realize how strong you are to reach out.
My approach is person-centered, psychoeducational, existential, and cognitive behavioral focusing on empowering and helping the individual to regain control within their lives and unique situations.
I am happy that you are taking your first step to take back your power and when you are ready, I am here to assist your journey. I look forward to working with you!

The majority of my career has been centered in trauma therapy, as I have worked with survivors of sexual assault, childhood abuse, homelessness, cultural displacement, and domestic abuse. I also have experience working with individuals under the supervision of parole and probation, and currently work as a Mental Health Clinical Director at a correctional facility. I believe in your inherent wholeness and resilience, and I'm here to help you rediscover that strength within yourself. Through our work together, we'll explore your experiences and uncover the courage to embrace change and vulnerability
I do not believe in a "one size fits all" kind of approach. While uncomfortable feelings might be a commonality (especially in today's world,) I believe we are all individuals who learn, experience, and react to situations differently. One thing I know for sure, if everything was going "great" chances are you would not be reading this bio right now. BRAVO to you for taking this monumental step and investing in yourself!!!
Hi, I'm Masha Andreoni, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida with 14+ years of professional/educational experience and 49+ years of lived experience. A majority of my work experience has been spent working with Veterans and Active Duty Reservists focusing on post deployment issues, substance use/abuse, and military sexual trauma. Today, I work with individuals/groups/families within a multitude of populations.
Most importantly, I do not believe that individuals fit snuggly into a particular mental health "box." For example, if diagnosed with PTSD... there is a good chance that anxiety, depression, insomnia, relationship difficulties, work-related issues (etc.) may be present. If struggling with addictions...anxiety, depression insomnia, relationship difficulties, work-related issues (etc.) may be present (you get it). My focus/goal is to understand where you are coming from, what you hope to achieve, avoid making any particular judgements/labels, and work together as we embrace this journey of solution focused change and betterment.
While I can take the time to tell you how my approach is warm, motivating, understanding, open....in the end, this is for you to decide. I can however assure you that regardless of diplomas achieved, I never stop pursuing education in this ever-changing field/world. I am here to be of service. With me comes my personality, knowledge, humor (when appropriate,) and respect! Truly looking forward to working with you.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and empowering. I use trauma-informed CBT and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients feel more grounded, regulate emotions, and build healthier coping skills—without judgment or pressure.

Sometimes people experience emotional problems (e.g., anxiety, depression), behavioral problems (e.g., overeating, smoking), or relationship problems (e.g., excessive arguing, poor communication) that interfere with their daily functioning. These difficulties result from the interaction of biological, learning, behavioral, and environmental factors, which influence patterns of thinking and behaving. Negative life events can contribute to the development of self-defeating patterns of thinking and behaving, which some people can have difficulty changing. In my work, which I have been practicing for 42 years, I help people identify these self-defeating patterns and develop strategies for dealing with them. I emphasize the importance of practicing these strategies consistently, with the goal of handling emotions more effectively and behaving in more responsible and healthy ways. I focus on life pattern changes with respect to relationships, depression, anxiety, anger control, impulse control, and stress management.
Hi! I’m Dakota.
Do you feel as though your life is a struggle and you don’t understand why or how to help yourself? Has your child changed into someone you don’t recognize? Are you scared about your future or for your child’s future?
I excel at working with people who have become stuck, lost, or hurt. I focus on empowering you or your child with skills and increasing insight so that my clients can move on and heal.
I enjoy working with adults and adolescents with any problem but specialize working through trauma and/or abandonment issues. I am uniquely suited to offer therapy to individuals with high IQ’s who may have difficulties connecting with the emotional side of therapy. I love working with the geek population and offer therapeutic Dungeons & Dragons™ services. I am also a trained rehabilitation therapist, so if you’re struggling with what you do with your life/career or have a highschooler wondering what trade or college path is a good fit, I can do career counseling.
Thank you for doing the brave thing seeking therapy. I look forward to helping you grow!
