I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been a social worker for 15 years. I've worked with active duty, veterans, aging adults, kids, adolescents, couples and individuals over the course of my career. One thing that has remained constant regardless of who I've worked with, is that we all have had to combat anxiety or depression at some point. For some it has been a life long struggle, while for others there was life situation that brought those feelings on. I enjoy working with clients who are seeking strategies to manage their anxiety and depressive symptoms, because I've seen when they learn these strategies they're able to use them consistently for the other issues life brings.

Thank you for sharing information about yourself. I'm so happy that you reached out for help. I am Michael Creech, a licensed therapist. My goal is to meet you where you are by bringing a compassionate approach backed by formal training and experience and be a part of your goals in the change process. I am very personable as well as professional and I do not believe in one-sided relationships. I have a multidisciplinary, eclectic approach to therapy in which I utilize techniques and principles from a variety of modalities to include Christian based. My counseling is geared toward treating the whole person from a biopsychosocial spiritual standpoint. I view counseling as a calling and not as a career and that it is a collaborative effort in which I learn and grow as a result of every interaction. My clients describe me as a “good listener” and as someone who “makes me think”. Some of the experiences that have contributed to my professional identity and approach to mental health treatment are my formal education at Pensacola Christian College where I received a BA in Pastoral Ministry and Liberty University where I received a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have worked as a therapist under regulatory agencies for 6 years and have worked in Christian Ministry since my ministerial ordination in 2003. Demographics I have served have included inpatient and outpatient care, private practice, substance abuse issues, psychotic spectrum disorders, gender identity issues, personality disorders, sex addiction, family and relationship issues, depression, anxiety, PTSD, Spirituality, and men’s issues. My experiences as a combat military veteran, teacher, father, husband, and a person who has experienced my own traumas and failures have contributed to my professional development. I look forward to getting to know you!

"You are your best thing"-Toni Morrison. Growing through this journey we call life will unfortunately bring things you can't control & it's not always easy to cope & it's not always easy to talk to someone. Going to therapy doesn't "fix" you. It enhances you, it helps you to better understand why you struggle with certain patterns & behaviors & why you feel stuck at times. So, pat yourself on the back for choosing yourself, right now in this moment & for making the right decision to strive beyond where you are. Know you don't have to walk this journey alone. I'm a diverse & creative therapist who is passionate about helping people rise above unfortunate obstacles to help them reach a potential they didn't know they had within them. Yes, you have the potential to be a better version of yourself. It has always been there. It's the inner strength you haven't tapped into yet. Some of my specialties are helping individuals who struggle with: past & current trauma, anxiety, low-self esteem, relationship issues, PTSD, sexual abuse/assault, over-thinking, boundary setting, codependency, depression, low-confidence, self-worth & perfectionism. Ask yourself this one question in this very moment, what's holding you back? Let's walk this journey together. You got this!

Hi, I’m Emily Fox, LCSW. With more than ten years of experience in the mental health, trauma and addictions field. I bring both professional expertise and lived experience into the therapy space. I work primarily with adults (18+) who are navigating challenges such as addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, postpartum mental health, parenting and motherhood, and persistent co-occurring diagnoses. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and walk beside you on your journey of healing and growth. My approach is strengths-based and whole-person focused. I believe that real change happens when we make space for your entire story—your struggles, your resilience, and your potential. Clients often describe me as compassionate, authentic, and down-to-earth. In our sessions, I strive to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to explore whatever you are carrying, without fear of judgment. I am trained in a wide range of evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, ACT, REBT, EFT, CPT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Traumatic Incident Reduction, and more. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model—together, we’ll collaborate on an approach that best fits your goals and needs. What fuels my passion for this work is my own path of personal recovery. That experience allows me to bring not only clinical skill but also genuine empathy to the therapeutic relationship. I know what it feels like to want change but not know where to begin, and I honor the courage it takes to take that first step. If you are looking for a therapist who will support you with compassion, honesty, and effective tools, I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward healing and transformation.

I do not believe in a "one size fits all" kind of approach. While uncomfortable feelings might be a commonality (especially in today's world,) I believe we are all individuals who learn, experience, and react to situations differently. One thing I know for sure, if everything was going "great" chances are you would not be reading this bio right now. BRAVO to you for taking this monumental step and investing in yourself!!! Hi, I'm Masha Andreoni, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida with 10+ years of professional experience and 48 years of lived experience. A majority of my work experience has been spent working with Veterans and Active Duty Reservists focusing on post deployment issues, substance use/abuse, and military sexual trauma. Today, I work with individuals/groups/families within a multitude of populations. Most importantly, I do not believe that individuals fit snuggly into a particular mental health "box." For example, if diagnosed with PTSD... there is a good chance that anxiety, depression, insomnia, relationship difficulties, work-related issues (etc.) may be present. If struggling with addictions...anxiety, depression insomnia, relationship difficulties, work-related issues (etc.) may be present (you get it). My focus/goal is to understand where you are coming from, what you hope to achieve, avoid making any particular judgements/labels, and work together as we embrace this journey of solution focused change and betterment. While I can take the time to tell you how my approach is warm, motivating, understanding, open....in the end, this is for you to decide. I can however assure you that regardless of diplomas achieved, I never stop pursuing education in this ever-changing field/world. I am here to be of service. With me comes my personality, knowledge, humor (when appropriate,) and respect! Truly looking forward to working with you.

Hi, I’m Glen Cognac, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. I specialize in helping adults who are struggling with addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. For years I’ve worked across different levels of care, from PHP and IOP to outpatient treatment, which has given me a unique perspective on what clients truly need at different stages of recovery and healing. My approach is neuroscience-informed and evidence-based. I draw from EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients not only understand what is happening in their lives, but also why. By looking at how the brain and body respond to stress, trauma, and cravings, I help people build practical tools that make lasting change possible. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, nonjudgmental space where you don’t just talk about your struggles, but also discover strengths you may not have realized you had. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck, ashamed, or afraid of repeating old patterns; and together we create a new way forward. If you’re looking for a therapist who will listen with compassion, offer clarity, and give you tools that actually work in daily life, I’d be honored to support you.

My career began outside of mental health, in competitive corporate environments (Arthur Andersen, PwC, Korn Ferry) where I earned an MBA in International Marketing from George Washington University, completed postgraduate work at Emory University, and engaged in complex, multi-stakeholder projects across the U.S., Asia, and Europe. A decade ago, I shifted focus from business development and organizational performance roles to personal transformation. I have worked in a psychiatric hospital, residential treatment centers, and private practice, specializing in trauma resolution and identity restoration. My greatest learning experience was working with convicted felons for 3-years which, which by matter of necessity, forced me to learn and refine therapeutic techniques beyond anything I could have imagined. This combination of real world experience and advanced clinical training allows me to meet clients at an entirely different level than most therapists.

Hi I'm Phillip, Reaching out for support isn’t always easy—so take a moment to acknowledge the courage it took to take this first step. Starting therapy can feel empowering, overwhelming, or even a little scary—and that’s completely okay. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, struggling with self-care, or just feeling stuck, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Together, we’ll work on building healthier boundaries, improving communication (especially with yourself!), and creating more balance in your life. Therapy is a space for growth, healing, and finding clarity—and you deserve all of that and more. If you’re ready to begin, I’m here and ready to walk alongside you.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Florida rather than a city like Tampa?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Florida from Miami to Jacksonville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Florida.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Military/Veterans?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Military/Veterans, is filtering therapists in Florida that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
