We all struggle to get through life. Sometimes it feels like we are sinking instead of swimming and there is no one around to help you keep your head above water. Wouldn't it be nice to enjoy more of life and decrease your stress and frustrations? I enjoy helping people who want to succeed in making their life meaningful and fulfilling while decreasing their emotional dysregulation, stress, and feeling overwhelmed with life. I provide the space you need to share your concerns and struggles and work with you to overcome your obstacles.
The first session is the chance for us to get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit. The therapeutic relationship is so important in counseling. I want you to feel like you are heard and that your struggles are important. All I ask is that you come to your first session with honesty and ready to participate in changing your situation.
I do not believe that one therapeutic approach fits everyone. We are all unique and our goals vary; so should the approach to working on your goals. I have worked with clients as young as 3 and as old as 85 and have found that trying different therapeutic approaches can help clients achieve their goals faster than trying to fit a client into an approach.
