(she/her)
I am a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in South Florida. I am committed to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges and strengthen their relationships. With a warm and supportive approach, I create a safe space where clients can explore their emotions, improve communication, and develop healthier connections. My goal is to empower clients to overcome obstacles, heal from past experiences, and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. I believe that growth and change are possible for everyone, and I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet each client’s unique needs.
During the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where they feel heard and supported. The session will begin with an introduction to the therapeutic process, including confidentiality, expectations, and goals for therapy. I will take time to understand the client’s concerns, background, and what has brought them to therapy, using thoughtful questions to explore their relationships, family dynamics, and personal experiences. Clients can also expect a collaborative approach—therapy is a partnership, and I will work with them to identify their needs and set realistic goals. I prioritize building trust and ensuring they feel comfortable sharing at their own pace, without pressure to disclose more than they are ready to. Additionally, I will provide insight into my therapeutic style and how I tailor my approach to suit their specific situation, whether through communication strategies, conflict resolution techniques, or trauma-informed care.
As a marriage and family therapist, my greatest strengths lie in the ability to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard and understood. My deep empathy and active listening skills allow me to build strong therapeutic relationships, fostering trust and meaningful change. With a systems-thinking approach, I help clients recognize how family dynamics, past experiences, and external influences shape their relationships. My expertise in conflict resolution and communication coaching enables individuals and families to navigate challenges effectively, promoting healthier interactions. Adaptability is another key strength, as I tailor interventions to meet each client’s unique needs, ensuring a culturally sensitive and individualized approach. My ability to remain calm and objective in emotionally charged sessions supports clients in managing difficult emotions and developing constructive problem-solving skills. Additionally, my trauma-informed perspective allows me to recognize and address past experiences that may impact present relationships. Through psychoeducation and skill-building, I empower individuals and families to cultivate emotional intelligence, resilience, and lasting relationship growth. My combination of compassion, insight, and practical strategies makes me a highly effective and impactful therapist.
As a marriage and family therapist, I am dedicated to serving individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, with a strong emphasis on supporting minorities and underrepresented communities. I recognize the unique challenges that cultural expectations, systemic barriers, and generational patterns can have on relationships and mental health. My practice is a safe and inclusive space where clients can explore their experiences without judgment and receive culturally responsive care. My goal is to help clients build stronger connections, improve emotional well-being, and navigate life’s challenges in a way that aligns with their unique backgrounds and identities.
In my experience, CBT is an incredibly practical and goal-oriented form of therapy. It’s structured, meaning that clients tend to have clear expectations and goals for therapy. This can be both reassuring and empowering for clients, as they see tangible improvements in their mood and behaviors.
In my experience, DBT is highly structured, and it can be incredibly rewarding when you see clients begin to integrate the skills into their daily lives. However, it can also be challenging due to the intensity of the emotional work involved. The primary role of the therapist in DBT is to provide support, validation, and encouragement as clients work through often painful and difficult emotional experiences.
In my experience, psychodynamic therapy requires a deep commitment from both the therapist and the client. It's not about giving advice or offering solutions immediately, but rather about helping the client understand themselves on a deeper level. It involves listening carefully, noticing patterns, and helping clients connect past experiences with current emotional struggles.
From my experience, SFBT is one of the most empowering therapies because it focuses on what can be done rather than what is wrong. It’s structured and efficient, making it particularly effective for clients who may not want to delve deeply into past trauma or who are seeking quick, tangible results. It also tends to be collaborative, meaning the client and therapist are working together to find practical solutions.
