Perhaps this is your first time participating in therapy. If that is you, let me invite you to the start of a positive change. I have experience working with individuals that a variety of Mental Health concerns. for over ten years. Some issues I've had experience addressing with my clients include depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mood disorders. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish.
Our first session is met with compassion and collaboration. I listen to your goals, and we discuss how best we can drive our sessions to achieve them. This helps create structure for our sessions. This also helps us adhere to an agenda that aligns with your therapy goals in our future sessions.
My strengths including helping others identify and build on their strengths. Doing so allows clients to gain confidence in themselves and their abilities to healthily cope with their concerns. I believe through empowering each other, we break the stigma of seeking Mental Health therapy. It is an honor for me to provide an opportunity for clients to learn tools to enable themselves to take control of their lives, and live a life they truly desire.
I look forward to working with individuals who are coming to therapy for the first time. Also, I enjoy working with individuals who may be returning to therapy, and may have some tools from prior experience. Overall, a willingness and openness to engage in the therapeutic process is a great start to work on improving symptoms and wellbeing.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy approach that addresses negative thoughts and behaviors and work on restructuring them. You would identify your goals for treatment and together we process, identify, and modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that contribute to your mental health. Through this process you will learn more positive ways to cope and improve your daily life.
