Feeling constantly on edge, emotionally drained, or struggling to cope? Many clients I encounter feel stuck in survival mode-overwhelmed with anxiety, weighed down with depression, or impacted by trauma. Life stressors can feel all consuming and this can make everyday feel like an uphill battle. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing compassionate, trauma-informed therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also have a certification in CBT focused on Depression. Together, we focus on reducing anxiety, improving mood, and developing coping skills to help regain a sense of control and stability in your daily life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is met with compassion and collaboration. I listen to your goals, strengths, and needs, and we discuss how best we can drive our sessions to achieve them. This helps create structure for our subsequent sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of the main objectives of my practice is to provide accessible Mental Health care to all. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where therapy feels collaborative and empowering. Healing is possible, and you don't have to face it alone. Services are available in both English and Spanish.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I look forward to working with individuals who are coming to therapy for the first time. Also, I enjoy working with individuals who may be returning to therapy, and may have some tools from prior experience. Overall, a willingness and openness to engage in the therapeutic process is a great start to getting the most out of sessions together. I also have extensive history working with military and veterans.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy approach that addresses negative thoughts and behaviors and work on restructuring them. You would identify your goals for treatment and together we process, identify, and modify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that contribute to your mental health. Through this process you will learn more positive ways to cope and improve your daily life.
