"You are your best thing"-Toni Morrison. Growing through this journey we call life will unfortunately bring things you can't control & it's not always easy to cope & it's not always easy to talk to someone. Going to therapy doesn't "fix" you. It enhances you, it helps you to better understand why you struggle with certain patterns & behaviors & why you feel stuck at times. So, pat yourself on the back for choosing yourself, right now in this moment & for making the right decision to strive beyond where you are. Know you don't have to walk this journey alone. I'm a diverse & creative therapist who is passionate about helping people rise above unfortunate obstacles to help them reach a potential they didn't know they had within them. Yes, you have the potential to be a better version of yourself. It has always been there. It's the inner strength you haven't tapped into yet. Some of my specialties are helping individuals who struggle with: past & current trauma, anxiety, low-self esteem, relationship issues, PTSD, sexual abuse/assault, over-thinking, boundary setting, codependency, depression, low-confidence, self-worth & perfectionism. Ask yourself this one question in this very moment, what's holding you back? Let's walk this journey together. You got this!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our sessions you can expect to better understand & gain insight into your thoughts, feelings, patterns and behaviors, which helps to bring self-awareness as to why you struggle with certain things & feel stuck. It also helps you to improve your problem solving & coping skills. You can also expect to learn how to set healthy boundaries & improve your communication & conflict resolution skills & most importantly you'll be empowered & will receive support and validation. Overall, you can expect to take away a sense of progress & growth from your therapy sessions. While therapy can be challenging at times, it can also be a transformative experience that leads to positive changes in your life.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

The modalities I thrive in best are: CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help you learn unwanted behavioral patterns and learn healthy coping techniques. SFT (Solution-Focused Therapy) to help empower, encourage & motivate you to find your inner strength to focus on your goals and how to achieve them. TF-CBT (Trauma Focused CBT) to help you get to the root of your traumatic experiences & learn how to address them & cope effectively. MI-Technique (Motivational Interviewing) to help you resolve indecisive feelings & insecurities to find the internal motivation you need to help change your behavior.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Some of strengths are being an active listener, creating a safe space for you to be open, being empathetic, warm, genuine, strong communication skills, non-judgmental attitude, setting professional boundaries, my flexibility & adaptability.
