LMHC, 15 years of experience
Hello, I am Amber Regal, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Tampa, Florida, providing telehealth services statewide. I specialize in supporting adults who are dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and stress. My approach includes comprehensive education on ADHD symptoms and challenges, all within a safe and supportive environment aimed at enhancing your well-being and happiness. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help you understand the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, empowering you to make positive changes in your life.
During our initial session, a significant portion of our time will be dedicated to getting to know you better. I will inquire about the symptoms and challenges you are facing and discuss what you would like to work on, allowing us to establish goals for our therapeutic journey. I understand that starting therapy can be intimidating, but I create a safe and comfortable space where you can be yourself and feel at ease.
With 15 years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse field, I have learned that we all seek support and connection. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment where you feel both connected and supported. Drawing from my own personal experience with ADHD, I aim to educate and guide you in managing its challenges. Many of my clients share that they find it easy to talk to me and that our sessions feel like meaningful conversations.
I specialize in working with adults of all ages and backgrounds, with a particular focus on those diagnosed with or suspecting they may have ADHD. In addition to ADHD, I am experienced in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma/PTSD and life transitions. My approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate care.
I’ve been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with clients for many years. Together, we’ll look at how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and practice new ways of thinking that can reduce stress and anxiety.
I have been using psychoeducation in my work with clients for many years. In our sessions, I’ll provide guidance and education on a variety of topics—such as understanding your diagnosis, setting healthy boundaries, improving communication, and making sense of your emotions. My goal is to give you practical knowledge and tools that support your growth both in and outside of therapy.
