Many of my clients are women and teen girls (12 and up) who are high-functioning on the outside but feel exhausted, anxious, or disconnected on the inside. You may be managing work, school, relationships, or caregiving while internally feeling overwhelmed, stuck in overthinking, or like you’re running on empty. If you’re someone who’s tried to “figure it out” on your own or learned coping skills in therapy before but still find yourself falling into the same patterns, you’re not alone. Many of the women I work with come in feeling frustrated that insight hasn’t translated into real change. In our work together, we focus on getting to the root of what’s keeping you stuck in cycles like burnout, over-functioning, people-pleasing, and difficulty setting boundaries. Instead of just managing symptoms, we work to understand and shift what’s driving them so the change actually lasts. A key part of this process involves working with your nervous system—not just your thoughts. You may already understand what’s going on logically, but still feel it in your body and day-to-day life. We focus on helping your system feel safer, more grounded, and less reactive so you can begin to break those automatic cycles and respond in new ways. I integrate EMDR, somatic approaches, attachment-based therapy, TF-CBT, and experiential work to support both emotional processing and practical change. The goal is to help you move from insight into real, sustainable shifts in how you feel, relate, and show up in your life. Sessions are collaborative and paced so you don’t feel rushed or overwhelmed. The goal is to help you feel more grounded, emotionally steady, and connected to yourself and your relationships. I also offer trauma intensives for self-pay clients who want deeper, focused work in a shorter period of time.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, non-judgemental space where we’ll begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask some questions to better understand what’s bringing you to therapy, your current challenges, how the past impacts the present, and what you hope to get out of our work together. There’s no need to have it all figured out—this is your time, and we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is to create a sense of safety, connection, and clarity as we begin your healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a steady, holistic approach to therapy that looks at the full picture of your life—not just what you’re struggling with, but how it connects to the way you’ve learned to cope, perform, and push through. I’m direct enough to help you get clarity, but grounded enough to make sure the process feels safe and manageable. I pay close attention to patterns that keep high-achieving women stuck in cycles of overthinking, over-functioning, burnout, and disconnection, and I help you slow those patterns down so they can actually change. Rather than staying at the surface, I help you get underneath what’s driving the stress so you can respond differently—not just manage symptoms, but shift what’s keeping them in place and help you heal your nervous system. Clients often tell me this is the first time things start to make sense in a way that actually leads to change. My role is to help you feel more anchored in yourself, more clear in your choices, and less caught in internal pressure. The work is collaborative, paced with care, and focused on helping you move forward in a way that feels sustainable—not overwhelming.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You may be a teen girl (12+) or woman who has spent years trying to understand yourself, manage your emotions, or make sense of experiences that continue to affect you. Perhaps you've been to therapy before and gained insight, but still feel like you're carrying the same pain, reacting in the same ways, or finding yourself stuck in familiar patterns. My practice is a good fit if you're ready to go beyond surface-level coping and explore what's underneath the struggles you're experiencing. I work with clients navigating complex trauma, attachment wounds, and the lasting impact of difficult life experiences. Together, we'll create a space where you can safely explore the deeper layers of your story, build a stronger connection with yourself, and create meaningful, lasting change. I welcome and affirm LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients, and strive to provide a space where all parts of you are respected, understood, and valued.

My treatment methods

EMDR

In my work as a therapist, I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a gentle, step-by-step approach to help clients work through difficult experiences. I focus first on making sure you feel safe, comfortable, and supported, and we go at a pace that feels right for you. EMDR helps your brain process memories that may feel “stuck,” so they become less overwhelming over time. As this happens, many clients notice they feel calmer, think about themselves in more positive ways, and have an easier time handling emotions and everyday challenges.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma-focused CBT is an evidence-based approach that helps clients process and make sense of traumatic experiences in a safe and structured way. It empowers clients to challenge unhelpful thoughts and develop coping skills to reduce trauma-related symptoms like anxiety and flashbacks. This approach promotes healing by helping clients regain control and build resilience after trauma.

Somatic

A somatic approach helps you work with trauma through your body, not just your thoughts. Trauma isn’t only something you remember—it’s also something your nervous system holds onto, which is why you might notice anxiety, tension, shutdown, or overwhelm even when you logically know you’re safe. In somatic work, we pay attention to those physical responses and gently help your body recognize when it no longer needs to stay in survival mode. Over time, this can reduce the intensity of emotional triggers, help you feel more grounded, and create a greater sense of calm and control in your day-to-day life. Instead of pushing through or trying to “think your way out” of stress, somatic work helps your system actually process and release what’s been stored—so change feels more real and lasting.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in trauma work because it equips clients with practical skills to manage intense emotions, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and improve distress tolerance. DBT helps clients build emotional regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness, creating a strong foundation for safely processing and healing from past trauma.

Gestalt

Gestalt-informed work helps you get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck, rather than staying at the surface of symptoms or surface-level insight. Instead of only talking about what’s happening, we bring attention to what you’re experiencing in the present moment—your emotions, body sensations, and the patterns that show up in real time—so we can work directly with what’s actually driving the issue. One of the ways this can be especially powerful is through experiential techniques like the “empty chair” exercise. This allows you to give voice to different parts of yourself or unfinished conversations from past experiences, so you can express what wasn’t said, understand your emotional responses more fully, and begin to release what’s been held inside. For many people, this approach helps create deeper clarity and emotional resolution than talk alone, because it engages both the mind and the emotional experience. Over time, it can help you feel less stuck in old patterns and more able to respond to your life with awareness and choice instead of automatic reactions.

Just had an orientation meeting with Hannah. I would definitely say that she is welcoming and super sweet. We covered some main keys to look out for. I look forward to speaking with her in the future.
