About me

Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist in Florida since 2019, and have been in this field for 21 years. I graduated from Webster University in 2007 with my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I then earned a second Master's degree in 2019 in Gerontology from Webster University. I love to help clients overcome their anxiety that impacts their daily living. I am also very passionate about working with trauma survivors and helping them regain their life back free from the crippling effects of trauma responses.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will have introductions, questions, and answers, and then go over what brought you to therapy and what you want to gain from therapy. This information will allow me to create a unique plan of treatment just for you and your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having 21 years of experience in the field as well as similar personal struggles, I bring a unique perspective to the table. I can relate to what you are experiencing, and at the same time, I can hold the safe space you need to heal.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adults of all ages 18 and up. The adults I serve are committed to their growth and healing they just need a safe space and a safe person to process their daily challenges and heal their wounds.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We can change our feelings by changing our thoughts and/or behaviors. Take a negative thought and replace it with a fact that you can't argue against. For example "I am broken". "The fact is you are wounded and you can heal. You came to therapy because you want to get better" etc.

EMDR

I use EMDR in two ways. One to work and heal an actual trauma memory. Two to replace the negative cognition with a positive cognition when CBT is not enough. For example, the negative thought "I am not worthy" would be replaced with the positive cognitive "I am worthy" or "I am just fine the way I am" or "There is nothing wrong with me" etc

Jungian

I do some dream analysis as well as symbolism interpretation and shadow work. I also will explore archetypes with clients and how they may be appearing in their current life.

She's warm and straight forward when I need it. Helps with problem solving. She's a fantastic listener, I always feel heard and understood after our sessions (especially days where I'm extremely talkative lol). She has given me tools and practices that I can use to help deal with the situations in my life, which have helped me tremendously. She's never forceful or cold with her approach, which makes it easy to talk with her (even for an introvert like me) 👍✨
