In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Deciding to create change takes courage, dedication, and determination. We are happy that you have chosen to consider us as your provider and partner in your life story. It may feel overwhelming, frightening, or like walking a tightrope at times; it takes humility to begin again. Here we will help you achieve your goals. Thank you for considering us.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I often use an Integrative Approach with aspects of CBT, DBT, Solution & motivation Focused techniques, trauma-informed CBT, EMDR, and Radical Honesty. This helps clients by providing a well-structured approach with clear direction. I also have a diverse background in law enforcement and as a veteran.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to serve adults who are self aware enough to know something needs to change, but who feel stuck in old emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, or survival strategies that no longer fit the life they want. My work resonates most with clients who value clarity, compassion, and practical tools they can use outside the session. The clients who tend to benefit most include those who: • Carry trauma histories and want to understand their triggers, reactions, and emotional patterns without shame or pathologizing • Struggle with intense emotions—tantrum like reactions, shutdowns, panic, or overwhelm—and want to build emotional regulation skills • Are navigating relationship stress and want to break cycles, communicate more clearly, and show up with more grounded presence • Are motivated for insight and appreciate a therapist who can name patterns directly but with warmth, respect, and empowerment • Want structure and tools, not just conversation—clients who benefit from worksheets, visuals, summaries, and clear next steps • Are rebuilding identity after trauma, addiction recovery, major life transitions, or long-standing self criticism • Value a strengths based approach, where their resilience, clarity, and courage are highlighted rather than their deficits These clients often come in saying things like: “I’m tired of reacting like a younger version of myself,” “I want to understand why I do this,” or “I know I’m capable of more emotional control, I just don’t know how to get there.” They’re ready for a therapist who can blend emotional attunement with practical guidance, someone who can help them understand their internal world, build new habits, and feel more in control of their story.
