I work with adults with eating disorders and trauma to help them become the best versions of themselves.
I work to help clients learn how to love their bodies and themselves while learning to navigate difficult parts of life.
First session
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the intake assessment. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. I work at your pace to ensure that you feel comfortable and supported throughout our sessions. During our sessions, we will talk about the events that led you to this moment and find ways to challenge the negative thoughts and behaviors.
Strengths
As a clinician with personal experience with mental health struggles, I have first hand experience helping people who are stuck in tough situations. I work to ensure that client's feel heard and validated while encouraging them to make the courageous steps towards recovery.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who is looking to overcome their eating disorder or trauma. I work collaboratively with clients to help them achieve their goals and long-term recovery. I work best with clients that are wanting to achieve freedom from the constant food thoughts or freedom from past traumas. I work with clients at their own pace to ensure there is stability and a sense of safety throughout the treatment process.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help a person challenge the negative thoughts that come after experiencing a traumatic event.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to help clients use appropriate coping skills to manage their emotions.
EMDR
I am trained in EMDR to help people process their trauma or difficult situations. I guide clients through the EMDR protocol and move at a gentle pace and help them let go of their negative beliefs and trauma symptoms.
