About me

I absolutely love what I do as a therapist and I love working with people within all stages of change. Whether you've explored multiple resources and feel stuck in a revolving door or you're just curious about therapy for the first time, I want to hear your unique story and personal goals. I'm a musician and athlete and have a huge passion for health and fitness which has also influenced my holistic approach. I also love exploring spirituality and learning more about people's unique experiences. While I take therapy seriously, I also naturally have a warm, light-hearted approach.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll start by addressing any immediate questions or concerns and completing the essential intake and assessment forms. Once that’s out of the way, we can focus on the most important part—your unique story. The first session is about understanding your background, your goals, and what brings you into therapy, while beginning to gently guide you toward healing. By the second session, we’ll work together to build a clear, collaborative plan for your therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I started my own therapeutic work back in 2006, and that personal journey has deeply shaped me as a clinician. I understand what it feels like to be lost, to grieve, and to outgrow parts of yourself and relationships in order to heal. My passion for this field drives me to pursue meaningful, high-quality clinical trainings annually so I can continually grow and bring the best possible care to my clients.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work mostly with young adults and adolescents experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, or sometimes an unprecedented general curiosity for psychotherapy. According to my census over the last 12 years, my clients have been ages 13-64. I love working with trauma, substance use, general mental health, and life transitions.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

As a seasoned clinician with extensive experience working across diverse clinical settings, I’ve found that no single therapy model fits every client or every situation. Over the years, I’ve developed an eclectic, integrative approach that allows me to draw from multiple evidence-based modalities depending on the client’s needs, learning style, and goals. I tailor the session to where the client is emotionally, rather than forcing a rigid protocol. I begin by cultivating safety and trust, then we co-create a direction that feels meaningful and manageable. Some weeks are skill-building; some focus on insight; others center around processing a specific event or pattern. I remain attuned to pacing so clients are supported but not overwhelmed. Overall, my eclectic style allows therapy to remain personalized, responsive, and collaborative. Instead of fitting the client into a model, I adapt the model to fit the client—so we can work in a way that feels effective, human, and sustainable. I have training in DBT, CBT, IFS, EMDR, and ACT.

EMDR

I have several years of experience using EMDR to help clients process traumatic memories, reduce emotional reactivity, and build adaptive beliefs. In my practice, I use EMDR within an eclectic, trauma-informed framework—meaning I integrate grounding skills, parts-informed language, and cognitive techniques to ensure clients feel safe and prepared before we begin reprocessing. I follow the standard EMDR protocol but tailor pacing, resourcing, and bilateral stimulation to each client’s nervous system. My focus is always on stabilizing first, then helping clients reprocess what’s stuck so they can move toward greater emotional freedom and self-trust.
