Thank you for considering me as your personal mental health therapist and emotions coach. Over the last few years, we have collectively endured traumatic, distressing, and challenging times that have reshaped how we view the world and how we choose to move forward within it. For many, this has meant clinging to familiar beliefs for comfort. For others, the weight of trauma, hopelessness, and fatigue has left them feeling stuck, unable to access their inner strengths or resilience. I believe that in those moments, we all need someone to help guide us back from the darkness into the light. I want to be that beacon of light for you. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with more than 15 years of counseling experience and over 20 years of serving families. My treatment philosophy is rooted in the belief that every individual has strengths that can be nurtured to foster healing and growth. By combining psychotherapy and clinical social work theories within a strength-based model, I help clients build coping strategies, discover new tools, and reclaim their sense of well-being. Our work together will focus on developing a trusting, supportive, and confidential therapeutic relationship—one that is grounded in empathy, respect, and validation, without pity or blame. My practice integrates Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, all within a behavioral change framework. These approaches allow me to tailor therapy to your unique needs, helping you move forward with resilience, clarity, and hope. Healing is a journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone. My role is to walk beside you, providing guidance, insight, and encouragement as you rediscover your strength and reclaim your light.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our initial session will focus on conducting a thorough biopsychosocial-spiritual-cultural and lethality/imminent danger assessment - don't worry it sounds more intimidating than it actually is, so try to relax and enjoy this safe place together. We will also discuss your consent to engage in therapy sessions and your understanding of how we will work together. During our next sessions, you will have your chance to just unwind and further express your reason for why you are seeking my service.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Through a Transtheoretical Model of Change, I believe that when the client can track their progress on the goals and objectives of a mutually created plan, they can self-monitor their path towards a successful termination of services. Additionally, my model is a relationship dyad without walls. While maintaining healthy boundaries between the client and the clinician, I eliminate the traditional communication structures of the cold office and provide multiple ways for clients to access services including phone and video, with flexible appointment times.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Primarily, I work with men’s mental health concerns, including challenges related to physical health, career transitions, and issues that impact self-esteem and overall identity. Many of my male clients come to therapy navigating stress, burnout, or feelings of inadequacy, often struggling to balance personal expectations with societal pressures. These challenges can lead to anxiety, depression, or a sense of disconnection from self and others. At the same time, my practice is open and inclusive to anyone seeking support. I recognize that trauma, loss, and life transitions affect us all in unique ways, regardless of gender, and I welcome individuals, couples, and families who are ready to engage in the therapeutic process. Whether you are working through men’s mental health concerns, navigating career and physical health challenges, or facing trauma and emotional distress of any kind, I strive to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported in rediscovering your resilience.
Trauma-Focused CBT
If you’re searching for a therapist online, you may already feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure where to begin. Many people come to therapy believing something is “wrong” with them, or that their struggles can only be explained by a diagnosis. My work often begins by helping clients step back and look at the bigger picture of their mental health. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of counseling experience. My approach looks beyond symptoms alone. I believe emotional well-being is influenced by many factors—your environment, lifestyle, physical health, stress levels, and personal beliefs. Together, we explore how these areas interact so we can address the root causes of distress rather than just the surface symptoms. Many of the clients I work with initially believe their challenges are strictly biological or permanent. Through therapy, we often discover that stress, trauma, burnout, self-care habits, and life circumstances are deeply connected to how they feel. By building insight and understanding, clients begin to regain a sense of control and direction in their lives.
Psychoeducation
Part of my role is also helping you better understand your mental health. I work with clients to build clear insight into conditions like anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders—so you can recognize how they affect your thoughts, emotions, and daily functioning. When clients understand what they are experiencing, they are better equipped to make meaningful changes.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of individuals, including: • Minority men and families • Military personnel and veterans • Law enforcement and first responders • Individuals navigating trauma and systemic stress • Members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies Many of my clients are people who carry heavy responsibilities in their communities, workplaces, and families. They often feel pressure to remain strong while silently struggling with stress, trauma, or emotional exhaustion. Therapy provides a space where those burdens can be explored safely and honestly. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where every person feels respected and understood regardless of their background, identity, or beliefs.
Supportive
A WHOLE PERSON APPROACH TO HEALING My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens when we address the whole person—mind, body, environment, and personal meaning. For some clients, spirituality and personal belief systems play an important role in healing. I respect and welcome those conversations while also remaining open and inclusive to people from diverse spiritual perspectives or those who do not identify with spirituality at all. Therapy with me is not about forcing a particular worldview. Instead, it is about helping you explore what brings you clarity, peace, and resilience. WALKING ALONGSIDE OF YOU Healing and personal growth rarely happen in isolation. Sometimes the most powerful step forward is simply having someone who listens deeply, challenges you thoughtfully, and supports you without judgment. My goal as your therapist is to walk alongside you as you: • Process trauma and emotional pain • Gain clarity about your mental health • Build healthier coping strategies • Strengthen self-awareness and resilience • Move toward a more balanced and meaningful life If you are ready to better understand yourself and begin making lasting changes, I would be honored to support you on that journey.

Randy is a great guy. He finds a way to build trust organically despite inorganic mechanisms for meeting (online). In our few sessions, I've been empowered and given a different perspective on what's been going on. In my work, I am solution-oriented, and having his perspective on my life has helped me craft solutions in my own way to enable my goals. I appreciate our conversations, and I look forward to each of our sessions. Thank you for your time and your assistance.
