New to Grow
I am a licensed therapist who provided compassionate, evidence-based care in navigating life's challenges. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychoeducation to help clients build insight, develop coping skills, and foster lasting emotional growth. I strive to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel understood, empowered, and confident in their ability to create meaningful change.
During our first session, clients can expect a calm, welcoming space to share what brings them to therapy and what they hope to achieve. We'll begin by discussing your concerns, background, and goals so I can better understand your unique needs. I'll explain my therapeutic approach and answer any questions you may have about the process.
My clients often notice that therapy with me feels structured yet flexible, grounded in measurable skills while also honoring their personal pace and experiences. Through our work, my clients typically gain a deeper understanding of themselves, improved coping strategies, stronger emotional regulation, and a greater sense of empowerment to create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
My ideal clients are teens and adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to make meaningful changes in their lives. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, or challenges in relationships and self-esteem. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware individuals who may be tired of 'just coping' and want to truly understand themselves better.
I use a therapy approach called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT. It helps you notice how your thoughts, feelings, and actions influence each other. Together, we'll work on recognizing unhelpful thinking patterns and learning practical ways to respond differently so you can feel better and handle challenges more effectively.
I use an approach called Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT. It focuses on helping you manage strong emotions, cope with stress in healthier ways, and improve your relationships. We'll work on specific skills - like staying present, calming your body and mind, setting boundaries, and communicating effectively so that you feel more in control and balanced. DBT is about learning how to both accept yourself and make the changes you want.
I use a technique called Motivational Interviewing which means we'll work together to understand what changes you'd like to make and what might be getting in the way. My role isn't to tell you what to do but to help you explore your own reasons for change and build confidence in our ability to move forward in ways that feel right for you.
Part of our work together will include learning more about what you're experiencing - why certain thoughts, emotions, or behaviors might be happening, and how different tools can help. This is called psychoeducation. The more you understand what's going on, the easier it becomes to manage it and make positive changes.
I use an approach called Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or TF-CBT. It's designed to help people understand and heal from traumatic experiences in a safe and structured way. We'll work together on learning coping skills, processing what happened at your own pace, and finding ways to feel more in control, confident, and calm moving forward.
