Whether talking about anxiety to depression to specific life stressors to complex trauma, I'm here to walk alongside individuals as they identify their paths forward in an enriching and centered life. If you need to schedule afternoons & evenings, those times are available I take a strengths-based approach to therapy, along with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) methods in addressing concerns. As a result, I'm eclectic in my approach and work to personalize counseling services. If you are struggling with the aftermath of trauma and are seeking support, I am here to help. Please don't hesitate to reach out to schedule a consultation or to learn more about my approach to therapy.

Hello! I am Amy Lottes, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I have experience helping clients with depression, stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, trauma, and an array of other issues. My clients like working with me because they feel like we are having a conversation while addressing their issues and working toward their goals. I view therapy as a process in which the client and therapist work together to determine goals and define success, as well as determine a process for maintaining success. Our work will be geared toward achieving a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. I approach therapy from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, meaning thoughts and beliefs that are interfering with functioning need to be addressed and appropriately changed and/or reorganized for better mental health. I also employ methods from other theoretical approaches as needed and deemed useful. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and reside in Texas, I am also licensed in Colorado, Florida, Utah, South Carolina, and Vermont. I specialize in helping you identify and overcome issues that hinder your day-to-day enjoyment of life and/or interfere with progress towards goals you have set. In over thirty years of private practice counseling I have learned to meet clients’ needs not only with continued education and research but also through a multitude of life experiences. I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients and have found that humor when utilized in an appropriate way and time can be very beneficial. I believe trust is a fundamental element in any relationship. This trust has to be developed and nurtured to remain genuine. Through trust other aspects important to the relationship can prosper such as comfort in being open, sincerity, and a willingness to change. I find that humor when utilized in an appropriate way and time can be very beneficial. I am a life-long Texan, however, I have traveled extensively and embraced many different cultures and location specific issues. Through all of life’s changes I have learned that, even with the best of plans, things still do not always work out the way we would like. I have experienced many of the same issues as my clients so can relate to them on a personal basis. This has also allowed me to acquire an understanding of what clients may be going through even if I have not experienced the exact situation. Through any adversity there is no reason to feel alone.

Two websites give the broadest view of my experiences and multicultural background with regard to healthy and balanced life. I was raised as an "Air Force Brat" in different countries and come from an N.J. Underground Railroad heritage on one side. Besides my experience in well-know U.S. crises when i worked for county and non-profit agencies serving special populations like survivors of Hurricane Katrina, victims of Human Trafficking, cults and more, my experience usually touches in on the kind of client who may feel out-of-place with other therapists or systems https://www.westcloudconsultingllc.com *and https://norcalpublicmedia.org/radio-programs/diaspora-dance-party

Hello, I'm Shannon. In addition to being a Mental Health Provider, I am also a Nationally Certified Professional Mediator (NCPM), and a Certified Specialist In Anger Management (CSAM). I have over 11 years of experience working with children, adolescents, teens, individuals, couples, and families from culturally diverse populations on a wide range of issues and concerns. I facilitate Anger Management and Parenting Groups with: Optum/United Health Care Members and Aetna Health Care Members in California, Colorado, and Texas via Telehealth. If you are an Optum/United Health Care Member or an Aetna Health Care Member and are interested in Group Therapy Services, please contact me for more information. My approach is collaborative. I believe that by working together, a positive outcome is achievable. I provide a warm, open, non-judgmental environment where one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are explored and discussed in an objective, respectful, empathetic manner. I am licensed in California, Colorado, and Texas. At this time, I only provide services virtually through a secure telehealth system. Four things I want you to know before you begin therapy with me: 1. I want treatment to work just as much as you do. 2. I am not judging you, and need to hear all of your truth(s) in order to best support you. You can't heal what you won't reveal. 3. I will not fight you for your healing. What that means is: I will not work harder than you do. However, I will be right there beside you as we navigate your Mental Health journey together. 4. If you don't connect with me, that's okay. Don't be afraid to try someone new, and keep trying until you find the right fit. I look forward to working with you!

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by state rather than a city?

Why filter by state rather than a city? When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across the entire state. If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near your address.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

What are the "Clients say I'm" badges?

Grow Therapy asks patients about their experience with therapists after they have had a certain number of sessions. After enough responses, we add those characteristics to their profiles to help you find the best online therapists for you. We're still working on collecting this information from all our therapists.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
