I am a LPC working with individuals to empower them towards growth and a life of greater flourishing. I find that the therapeutic space offers the safety to gain tools, awareness and insight and a supportive relationship to work on interpersonal growth through 60 minute therapeutic sessions. I offer a wide range of interventions and lean on CBT, EMDR, DBT and trauma informed, person centered theoretical orientations for best practice in therapy.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is an intake or initial session where I ask lots of questions to get to know you and understand your history. We also form treatment goals and I can best offer next steps after this first session. Then subsequent sessions focus on these treatment goals. I typically like to check in after each month or so of meeting to check in on growth and how these goals are going and any changes that would be needed.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am warm, disarming and understanding with a desire to empower you. I offer insight and practical tools to work on while also creating a supportive space in the sessions to help you feel heard and validated.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with individuals who are self motivated and desire to grow. These individuals come into therapy with authenticity and intentional to make the most of their time. They are aware that therapy is not about advice giving but about a supportive relationship that through tools, strategies and a trust in the therapeutic process that these are all the ingredients in deeper change.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I operate out of a Christian, Biblical based paradigm of growth and healing.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

It is important to offer unconditional acceptance and compassion in therapy as a basis for awareness, building rapport and making goals and growth in therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT to help identify distorted thinking and reframe towards truths. CBT provides tools and helpful strategies to work through issues of depression and anxiety.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I find IFS to be helpful to identify conflicting emotional parts that can create internal chaos and help provide language that is helpful to work through those internal conflicts.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT offers strategies to increase mindfulness and awareness of the somatic and stress response that often enables holistic change in therapy. This is very helpful in issues of trauma, anxiety and depression.
