Hi, I’m Taylor, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Coach with 15 years of experience and 1000's of hours of one-on-one counseling. My journey in the mental health field has been driven by my deep passion for helping others break free of chronic overthinking, negative self-talk, and stress, so they can truly enjoy the life they have worked so hard to create. I believe that true healing comes from addressing both the mind and the body, which is why I incorporate tools that help calm the body, soothe the mind, and reshape the thoughts that may be contributing to stress and anxiety.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is all about getting to know you—what’s bringing you here, what’s feeling heavy or stuck, and what you’re hoping will feel different. You don’t need to prep or show up with a perfect story. Just come as you are. I'll ask questions to get a sense of how you’re doing—emotionally, mentally, physically—and what’s been going on lately. We’ll talk about your goals, what’s working (and not), and where you'd love to feel more grounded, joyful, or just a little more like yourself. It’s also a chance for you to feel out me. Therapy only works if you feel safe, supported, and like we’re a good fit. If you like a mix of real talk, evidence-based tools, a little neuroscience, and someone who won’t bat an eye if you drop an f-bomb while talking about your stress—chances are, we’ll click. There’s no pressure to spill your whole life story or have it all figured out. The goal? You leave the session feeling seen, a little lighter, and like you took a solid first step toward feeling better.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I’m not the type of therapist who just nods and says, “How does that make you feel?” on repeat. My approach is supportive, yes—but also active, honest, and full of tools you can actually use when life hits hard at 2am. I blend evidence-based practices like CBT, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation with a down-to-earth, human approach. That means we’re not just talking about your struggles—we’re helping you understand them, shift them, and build something better in their place. I’ll teach you how to work with your brain and your body, not against them. What really makes my work different? It’s the way I connect the dots—between your stress, your thoughts, your past patterns, and how it all shows up in your day-to-day life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
If you're used to being the one who keeps it together, always pushing through, always showing up for everyone else—but underneath, you're tired, anxious, overthinking everything, and feeling like you're just barely managing—you're in the right place. I specialize in anxiety, self-esteem, and depression because they tend to show up together—and because I know how exhausting it is to keep living in survival mode. Whether it looks like racing thoughts, shutdown, numbness, burnout, or a brutal inner critic, I’m here to help you untangle those patterns and build something calmer, more grounded, and actually joyful. I also specialize in sleep and insomnia treatment. Sleep is the glue that keeps everything together and I believe when we sleep well everything else becomes easier and improves. I bring over 15 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, blending evidence-based methods like CBT and mindfulness with nervous system regulation, mind-body tools, and a no-BS, down-to-earth approach. This isn’t therapy that drags on for years without movement—we’ll talk about what matters, make sense of what’s happening in your brain and body, and use real tools to create real change. You won’t get judgment, toxic positivity, or just “let’s talk about your week.” You’ll get someone who sees the full picture—your stress, your strengths, your struggles—and helps you build a life that doesn’t just look good on the outside, but feels good on the inside.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
In my therapy practice, I use mindfulness to help my clients build awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment without judgment. This skill helps to allow for more intentional choices rather than reactive patterns. Mindfulness is an amazing tool that I teach and encourage my clients to practice to help reduce anxiety, stress, and depressive feelings, while also increasing life's joy.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to stress, anxiety, and low self-worth. We work together to recognize how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and practice more balanced, realistic thinking. CBT provides practical tools that empower clients to challenge their inner critic, build confidence, and create lasting change through action. CBT along with mindfulness and self compassion practices create a wonderful combination of tools for resilience.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I integrate person-centered principles by creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. I believe that each person has the innate capacity for growth and healing, and I support that process through genuine connection, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. This foundation helps clients feel safe to explore their experiences and reconnect with their authentic selves.
Mind-body approach
I take a mind-body approach to therapy, recognizing that emotional experiences are held not just in our thoughts but in our bodies as well. I incorporate practices like breathwork, gentle movement, and yoga-based techniques to help clients regulate their nervous systems, release stored tension, and reconnect with their bodies in a compassionate way. This integrative approach supports deeper healing, especially for stress, trauma, and anxiety.
