(she/her)
Hi, I’m Taylor, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Coach with 15 years of experience and 1000's of hours of one-on-one counseling. My journey in the mental health field has been driven by my deep passion for helping others break free of chronic overthinking, negative self-talk, and stress, so they can truly enjoy the life they have worked so hard to create. I believe that true healing comes from addressing both the mind and the body, which is why I incorporate tools that help calm the body, soothe the mind, and reshape the thoughts that may be contributing to stress and anxiety.
Our first session is all about getting to know you—what’s bringing you here, what’s feeling heavy or stuck, and what you’re hoping will feel different. You don’t need to prep or show up with a perfect story. Just come as you are. I'll ask questions to get a sense of how you’re doing—emotionally, mentally, physically—and what’s been going on lately. We’ll talk about your goals, what’s working (and not), and where you'd love to feel more grounded, joyful, or just a little more like yourself. It’s also a chance for you to feel out me. Therapy only works if you feel safe, supported, and like we’re a good fit. If you like a mix of real talk, evidence-based tools, a little neuroscience, and someone who won’t bat an eye if you drop an f-bomb while talking about your stress—chances are, we’ll click. There’s no pressure to spill your whole life story or have it all figured out. The goal? You leave the session feeling seen, a little lighter, and like you took a solid first step toward feeling better.
I’m not the type of therapist who just nods and says, “How does that make you feel?” on repeat. My approach is supportive, yes—but also active, honest, and full of tools you can actually use when life hits hard at 2am. I blend evidence-based practices like CBT, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation with a down-to-earth, human approach. That means we’re not just talking about your struggles—we’re helping you understand them, shift them, and build something better in their place. I’ll teach you how to work with your brain and your body, not against them. What really makes my work different? It’s the way I connect the dots—between your stress, your thoughts, your past patterns, and how it all shows up in your day-to-day life.
If you’re the kind of person who’s great at holding it together for everyone else but secretly running on caffeine, anxiety, and sheer willpower… hi. You’re my kind of human. You’re probably the “strong one.” The one who says, “I’m fine,” while quietly overthinking every text you’ve ever sent, feeling guilty for resting, and wondering why joy feels just out of reach—even though your calendar is full and your checklist is always on point. Here’s the thing: you don’t need another motivational quote or wellness trend. You need tools that actually work. Space to breathe. Someone who gets what it’s like to be a high-functioning, overthinking, emotionally-aware human who’s just trying to feel better and not lose their damn mind in the process. I’m here for the ones who are ready to stop white-knuckling through life. I work best with people who are insightful, open, a little tired of their own inner critic, and ready to trade survival mode for something more spacious, grounded, and real. We’ll calm your nervous system, untangle the mental noise, and build new patterns that actually feel good. And we’ll do it with compassion, some science-backed tools, and maybe a little swearing if needed. Let’s make life feel a little lighter.
In my therapy practice, I use mindfulness to help my clients build awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment without judgment. This skill helps to allow for more intentional choices rather than reactive patterns. Mindfulness is an amazing tool that I teach and encourage my clients to practice to help reduce anxiety, stress, and depressive feelings, while also increasing life's joy.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to stress, anxiety, and low self-worth. We work together to recognize how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected and practice more balanced, realistic thinking. CBT provides practical tools that empower clients to challenge their inner critic, build confidence, and create lasting change through action. CBT along with mindfulness and self compassion practices create a wonderful combination of tools for resilience.
I integrate person-centered principles by creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. I believe that each person has the innate capacity for growth and healing, and I support that process through genuine connection, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. This foundation helps clients feel safe to explore their experiences and reconnect with their authentic selves.
I take a mind-body approach to therapy, recognizing that emotional experiences are held not just in our thoughts but in our bodies as well. I incorporate practices like breathwork, gentle movement, and yoga-based techniques to help clients regulate their nervous systems, release stored tension, and reconnect with their bodies in a compassionate way. This integrative approach supports deeper healing, especially for stress, trauma, and anxiety.
