Hi, I’m Rossina Schroeer-Santiago — a therapist, clinical supervisor, and community-based healer committed to supporting my community on their paths to healing, growth, and liberation. My work is rooted in cultural identity and the belief that transformation begins within. Whether I’m holding space in therapy, guiding emerging clinicians, or partnering with organizations, I help people reconnect with their inner fire so they can move with clarity, purpose, and power — both individually and together.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a grounded, welcoming space where you don’t have to perform or prove anything. We'll begin by exploring what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and what safety and support look like for you. I’ll ask questions to get a fuller picture of your story, but we’ll move at a pace that feels right to you — no pressure, no rush. My goal is for you to leave feeling seen, supported, and like you’ve taken a meaningful first step toward healing on your terms.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is how I blend deep clinical expertise with cultural and personal grounding. I center the lived experiences of people of color and create space for the whole person — mind, body, spirit, and lineage. My work is trauma-informed, relational, and rooted in liberation, not just symptom reduction. Clients often tell me they feel genuinely seen, not just as individuals, but as part of families, communities, and systems. Together, we don’t just cope — we transform, reclaim voice, and move toward healing that’s sustainable and self-directed.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I'm best positioned to serve individuals who are navigating transitions, burnout, identity shifts, or the emotional weight of being the “strong one” in their communities. Many of my clients are healers, helpers, caregivers, or emerging leaders who are ready to break cycles, reconnect with themselves, and heal in ways that feel culturally and spiritually grounded. Whether you're seeking clarity, rest, or a deeper sense of alignment, I hold space for you to come home to yourself — at your own pace, in your own power.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

I work from a humanistic orientation that integrates multiple counseling theories and modalities, focusing on person-centered approaches and utilizing individual strengths to maximize your ability to gain confidence in controlling your motivations, behaviors, and social environment. I collaborate with you to understand the struggles you face and how you can make the changes you desire. My work may incorporate theory and techniques primarily from person centered theory, but may use techniques from cognitive behavioral, solutions focused brief, somatic psychotherapy, narrative therapies, cognitive processing, dialectical behavioral, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing modalities. I believe it is essential to understand the context of people’s lives in every aspect. Together, we will work to make positive changes in your life, promote a greater self-awareness, and achieve sustainable outcomes that work holistically. The goal is to establish a complete connection to your mind, body, emotions, spirit, and your experience of the world around you.
