Feeling lost in the chaos of life or the tough stuff most therapists won’t touch? Hi, My name is John’Neiska "JoJo" Williams and I am a licensed professional counselor in the states TX, GA LA, CO and I can assure you, you’ve come to the right place. Kick off your shoes and relax your feet—because therapy with me will never be a cliché. Therapy isn’t just venting—I’m not here for small talk. I have a laid-back vibe, but make no mistake I’m here to challenge, teach, and help you grow with real change. No clichés, no endless “How does that make you feel?” I believe that true healing happens when we bring the mind and body into the same conversation. While most people think thoughts lead to behaviors, I’ve seen how often behaviors can shape thoughts and how powerful it can be to work counterintuitively to spark change. Thats why I focus on the primary use of Counterintuitive Therapy that is rooted in blended approaches from the frameworks of Behavior therapy and Gestalt therapy in a way that’s present-focused, dynamic, and deeply human. Some moments in life demand that we focus on the here and now, while others call for us to explore how the body has been keeping score of past experiences. Some emotions and stress doesn’t fit meet the criteria of a one-size-fits-all model. That’s why I incorporate a range of behavioral tools and more specialized eccentric approaches, including Ketamine & Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, DBT, creative expressive play, and counterintuitive skills, all tailored to fit your needs.
In our first session, we will start with brief introductions. I like to get your needs, wants, goals, and expectations of therapy. I also like to talk about your past experiences with therapy and what made you consider therapy as the best option for you. I like to also let clients know therapy with me, you will work collaboratively with me and remain autonomous. I will explain my theoretical approaches to therapy just to make sure you are comfortable with some of the tasks such as interventions, psychoeducation, and homework I Amy ask of you.
I try to be competent in all areas of counseling. However, my biggest strengths and specialties include my ability to challenge and use confrontation in a positively reinforcing and therapeutic way. This creates awareness in a way that allows an individual to change emotions with their actions and not control emotions with their actions. I am not accepting teens/adolescents, high school students, or couples currently.
I specialize in helping people navigate intense emotions, identity shifts, and changes in mood. Most of my work centers on supporting individuals living with borderline personality disorder (BPD), dissociative identity disorder (DID), and bipolar disorder, using approaches that are compassionate, structured, and focused on real change.

First session and I’m hooked. I feel seen and heard. I’m looking forward to learning more about myself and figuring out who I truly am.

She is amazing. I have loved having her as my therapist the last few years. It’s like a professional best friend and confidant. I would recommend her a million times over. I feel so free to be myself and communicate in a way that is best for me without judgment. She calls me out on my missteps, but she is also affirming in my GREATNESS. I pray I never have to find anyone new. The support she provides emotionally and mentally can’t be quantified. A professional and also relatable.

She seems very smart and solution oriented. Cant wait til our next session. Finally someone who i think can help me.
I use Gestalt in a way to help focus on a person's present life rather than delving into their past experiences. This form of therapy stresses the importance of understanding the context of a person’s life when considering the challenges they face. It also involves taking responsibility and moving forward rather than placing blame.
