Hi, I'm Emily and I've been practicing as a therapist for the last seven years. I began my own healing work when the coping strategies I relied on - and the mask I wore to get through life - finally stopped working. Under all the pain was a desire to live more honestly and deeply, and its what eventually led me to become a therapist. This is the kind of space I now intend to hold for others.
My priority in our first session is to create a sense of comfort and safety as we begin our work together. We’ll review the confidentiality agreement so you can feel confident that your privacy is respected and protected. Depending on your comfort level, we might explore your intake paperwork, talk about what brought you to therapy, or simply start with where you’re from and some of the key milestones in your life so far. I’ll always aim to tailor the session to your preferences and pace
As a therapist, I bring a warm, disarming presence and welcome space for humor and levity in our work together. I’m committed to continually growing in my craft and draw from both Western and Eastern approaches to healing. If you’re looking to learn new tools to navigate current challenges, I’m happy to share and practice those with you. If you’re seeking something deeper—more transformational—I’m here to support that journey as well. Our sessions are a shared space, where your voice and presence matter just as much as mine. I also incorporate occasional feedback forms throughout our work to ensure I’m aligned with your goals and that you’re experiencing meaningful progress.
I help adults who feel stuck in patterns of self-criticism, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, shame, and people-pleasing. Many of my clients feel lost in their sense of self, weighed down by old versions of themselves that no longer fit. They’re often navigating the pain of living from conditioned patterns, painful experiences, and environmental influences—and longing to feel more whole, grounded, and true to who they really are. I also specialize in Hormonal Mental Health, focusing on supporting those with menstruating bodies create a more connected and easeful relationship with their cycle and their body as a whole.
I draw from a Mindfulness-Based therapy to help clients slow down, become more aware of their thoughts, and learn how to respond to stress and emotions with more calm and ease.
I use IFS in therapy to guide my clients in untangling from a conditioned self-one that is a reaction from the past, often made up of inaccurate stories about the self. The goal with IFS is to connect and live from a more authentic and unburdened place.
In my practice, I bring in somatic (body-based) tools to help clients tune into their body's signals, release stored tension, and encourage healing on a deeper nervous-system level. If client's are interested, I might incorporate Yoga Nidra practices which is a restful practice for a stressed mind and body.
