(she/her)
I’m a first-generation Latina therapist, and that lived experience gives me a unique lens in how I show up for the people I work with. I understand the mix of cultural expectations, generational patterns, and just trying to get through everyday life. Many of my clients come in carrying anxiety, self-doubt, depression, or trauma, but also the very real, everyday stuff: relationship stress, distrust in others, feeling not good enough, not wanted, not seen. In our work together, I help you unpack those feelings and begin to challenge the negative narratives that may be shaping how you see yourself. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you, it’s about helping you understand where those patterns come from and supporting you in rewriting the story in a way that feels more honest and empowering. I believe healing starts from within. Empowerment isn’t just about what we can do, it’s about remembering who we already are. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, find your voice, and build a life that feels more grounded, more intentional, and more yours.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll go over some background information, talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, and explore what you’d like to work on. This is also a space for you to ask questions and get a feel for how I work. You don’t need to prepare anything or have the perfect words, just come as you are. Together, we’ll begin to map out your goals and decide what feels most important to focus on. My priority is making sure you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward at your own pace.
I know everyone says they’re a good listener, but I aim to listen with real intention. Not just to what’s being said, but to what might be underneath it. When we’re intentional in how we listen, we can be intentional in how we heal. Sometimes, the most powerful moments in therapy come from a simple question that makes you pause and think, “I’ve never looked at it that way before.” That’s the space I try to hold, a space where insight can emerge naturally, without pressure or judgment. I won’t give you all the answers, because I don’t believe therapy is about being told what to do. I believe people already carry deep wisdom within them. My role is to help you reconnect with it.
I work best with clients who are ready to look inward, even if they’re not quite sure where to start. Many of the people I support are navigating anxiety, low self-worth, generational trauma, or relationship struggles. Some feel stuck in cycles of people-pleasing, self-doubt, or never feeling “good enough.” Others are carrying grief, burnout, or simply feel overwhelmed by everyday life. My ideal clients are open to reflecting on their experiences and exploring where their beliefs and habits come from. They may feel disconnected from their identity, their voice, or their sense of direction but they’re also looking for support, not judgment. Whether you’re working through something deep or just trying to feel a little more balanced and grounded, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and honesty.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as one of the main tools in our work together. It helps us look at how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and how certain patterns might be getting in the way of how you want to feel or show up in your life. We’ll gently explore those patterns and find real, manageable ways to shift them. I like to keep things collaborative and grounded in your strengths. This means we’ll build on what’s already working for you while also developing new skills and coping strategies. Therapy with me is a space where you can be yourself without judgment, where healing doesn’t mean “fixing” you, but helping you reconnect with your power and inner voice.
I use Motivational Interviewing to support you in clarifying your goals, especially if you're feeling unsure or stuck. This means I’ll help you explore your own reasons for change, at your own pace, without pressure or judgment. It's a collaborative process, you're the expert on your life, and I’m here to help guide the conversation in a way that feels empowering.
My approach is always strengths-based. I truly believe that everyone has resilience, even if it doesn’t always feel that way. We’ll work together to uncover and build on your existing strengths, so that therapy doesn’t just focus on what’s hard, but also on what’s possible.
I also draw from other modalities like attachment theory to help us understand where these patterns may have started. Sometimes we carry old beliefs or relational dynamics that made sense at one point but no longer serve us. Together, we’ll look at those deeper layers, not to stay stuck in the past, but so you can understand yourself more fully and start reshaping your life in a way that feels more aligned and intentional.
