I am Susan G. License Clinical Social Worker, LCSW, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, CSAC, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, CHWC. I am the mother of 3 adult daughters and 1 adult son. The Nonna to 5 baby grands and I have a life partner, and two co-workers that have tails, Buster & Simba whom you are likely to meet in a video session. I am authentic and passionate about helping others achieve or create success stories. I know life is hard sometimes and I have many experiences that helped shape me into a humble clinician with assisting clients to find their way out of the darkness or chaos. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Motivational Interviewing when helping people change and find a purpose in their lives. I am skilled at helping them find their own meaning and reasons, to find a new more meaningful path for them. I do care. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, I will ask a lot of questions to get to know you better, and to get an understanding of where you want to go with our therapeutic partnership or what you want to change in your life.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
The modalities I use are motivational interviewing, positive psychology and cognitive behavioral therapies.
