New to Grow
I am a trauma-informed, skills-based therapist who helps adults move from feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally stuck to feeling more grounded, regulated, and in control of their lives. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches including CBT and DBT, with a strong focus on practical tools, emotional regulation, and real-life change—not just insight. I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, stress, and mild to moderate substance use concerns, especially those who want structure, clear goals, and strategies they can actually use between sessions. What makes my approach different is that I focus on helping clients build real-time skills for real-life moments, so progress isn’t just something you talk about in therapy—it’s something you can feel in your day-to-day life.
Your first session is a chance for us to slow things down and get a clear picture of what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping to change. We’ll talk about what’s been feeling difficult lately, your history with anxiety, depression, stress, or other concerns, and any goals you have for treatment. I’ll also ask some questions to understand your background and make sure I’m supporting you in a way that fits your needs. The focus is on getting to know you—not rushing to fix everything right away—while beginning to identify patterns and simple tools that may help you feel more grounded. You can also ask questions about therapy, my approach, or what to expect moving forward, so we can start building a plan together that feels clear, collaborative, and supportive.
My greatest strength as a therapist is helping clients turn insight into real, practical change. I combine structure and compassion to create a space where you feel supported while also guided toward meaningful progress. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT, I focus on teaching skills that can be applied in everyday life to manage anxiety, depression, stress, and emotional overwhelm. Clients often describe my approach as grounding and practical—less about endless talking, and more about learning tools that actually work outside of sessions. With experience in community-based and systems-level care, I also understand the real-world challenges that impact mental health, allowing me to meet clients where they are and support sustainable, lasting change.
Well-positioned to serve clients who are seeking structured, skills-based, and culturally sensitive therapy. This includes adults experiencing generalized anxiety, depression, and adjustment-related stress, particularly those navigating life transitions, workplace stress, or relationship challenges. May also be especially effective with clients who have trauma histories but are stable enough for outpatient therapy and are motivated to engage in skill-building and insight-oriented work. Additionally, individuals who prefer a collaborative, practical approach to managing emotional regulation, coping skills, and interpersonal effectiveness are a strong fit for my clinical style.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help relieve anxiety and depression by addressing the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors by identifying and challenging distorted thinking patterns and replacing them with more balanced and realistic thoughts which can reduce feelings of fear and hopelessness. CBT supports lasting emotional improvements and a greater sense of control over one's mood and reactions.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT helps reduce anxiety and depression by teaching skills to manage emotions, cope with stress, stay present, and communicate effectively. These skills support better reactions, greater emotional balance, and an increased sense of control in daily life.
