New to Grow
I began my journey as a therapist while I was Active Duty military and I saw firsthand how trauma was so prominent whether from childhood and/or combat related. With the different treatment options available, I feel that I have an opportunity to help in the healing journey for anyone seeking therapy. I have been licensed for about 6 years and have experience working with many conditions to include anxiety, depression and PTSD.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another and to understand what brings you in. We will talk about your concerns and goals, and to ask any questions you may have. Therapy is all about creating a safe space so there is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable with. Therapy is a journey, and we'll continue to build our work together over time. It's expected to feel nervous about your first appointment.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My work is grounded in the primary evidenced-based treatments for trauma including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and EMDR. This training allows me to thoughtfully tailor treatment to each client's needs, drawing from approaches that are well-researched and effective in helping people process traumatic experiences, reduce symptoms, and regain a sense of safety and control. I prioritize collaboration, pacing and emotional safety, helping clients build skills while gently addressing trauma in a way that supports long term healing and resilience.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I specialize in treating PTSD and trauma using evidence based approaches like EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Whether your trauma is recent or decades old, we will work together to reduce its grip-safely, gently, and at your pace. I help adults manage anxiety, burnout, trauma, life transitions, and more.
Trauma Informed Care
I use trauma informed approach that prioritizes safety, trust, and collaboration. I recognize how past experiences can impact present thought, emotions and behaviors, and I work at a pace guided by each clients need. Treatment emphasizes choice, empowerment, and respect, helping clients build skills and insight.
Prolonged Exposure Therapy
My trauma informed used of Prolonged Exposure therapy emphasizes informed consent, collaboration and individual pacing. I focus on creating a safe, therapeutic environment that supports gradual exposure with the goal of fostering long term recovery.
EMDR
My trauma-informed application of EMDR therapy for adults emphasizes thorough preparation, informed consent, and individualized pacing. I focus on maintaining client safety and regulation throughout trauma processing while supporting adaptive resolution and integration.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)
An evidenced based therapy that targets the behavioral and cognitive factors that maintain insomnia. Treatment focuses on improving sleep efficiency, reducing sleep related anxiety, and strengthening healthy sleep wake patterns.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
Emphasizes informed consent, individualized pacing, and collaborative cognitive restructuring. Treatment focuses on addressing trauma-related stuck points while supporting emotional safety.
