Hey there, seeker of balance and growth! I get you – the one who knows that true well-being involves both mind and body. And I’m so glad you’re here. I know that taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to create meaningful change. I take a holistic approach to therapy to help you cultivate emotional balance, resilience, and self-empowerment. Through this integrative approach, we’ll work together to identify limiting beliefs, manage stress, and develop tools to help you move forward in a way that aligns with your values. Therapy isn’t just about overcoming struggles—it’s about gaining clarity, confidence, and the ability to navigate life with greater ease. If you're ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll begin with getting familiar with one another. I invite you to ask me questions also. I'll open the floor for you to share with me what you think are the most important pieces of your experience(s) that brings you here today. If you've participated in counseling previously, I'll ask you to share with me what you found helpful, and not helpful. I'll introduce to you how integrative therapy gives you more options to help with what you are finding distressing!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I bring a sense of authenticity & compassion to our time together. I uniquely combine cognitive behavioral techniques with mindfulness strategies and meridian-based Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), sometimes called "Tapping." This innovative approach offers a holistic and integrative method to explore, understand, and heal your mind and emotions.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with individuals who are goal-oriented and want to learn new skills and ways of seeing things. Whether you already have a curious & non-judgmental personality or are wanting to gain those qualities, I enjoy helping everyone develop an approach to living that enhances your overall, day-to-day, life experience.

My treatment methods

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

For 10 years I have used techniques of REBT to help my clients improve self-awareness & emotional regulation using a direct & philosophical approach. We'll use REBT to help you examine & challenge your current unhelpful & self-defeating thinking patterns, which create distress. We then work to replace these thoughts & beliefs with more balanced and self-supportive thoughts.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I love using ACT and teaching the skills of mindfulness for the past 7 years to help my clients make sometimes a radical shift in their relationship with their inner experience(s). I'll teach you how to create space for your thoughts, emotions & sensations, all parts of our private experience, so that you can begin letting go of painful beliefs, etc. that hinder your desired changes too.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is at core of my work as I do strongly believe that small intentional habits create the groundwork for overall well-being. For clients wanting a practical approach to counseling to help them move toward achieving their goals, I find using CBT to be helpful in teaching skills that will help change their thinking and behavior for lasting improvements in overall well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

I've used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i) to help many individuals address the thoughts, behaviors, and habits that contribute to sleep difficulties. It is like a personalized sleep makeover! Instead of just focusing on sleep medications, I can help you understand and change the thoughts and behaviors that might be keeping you awake.

Mind-body approach

I was introduced to the Emotional Freedom Technique, commonly known as "Tapping," at a workshop in December 2019 but recently my interest has returned with zest to this meridian therapy technique that uses acupressure (no needles!) to desensitize your emotions and physical upset. Although it's considered "cutting-edge" in the United States, it's been used for 2-5,000 years in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Published research shows that this technique cuts cortisol, the primary stress hormone, 24% after just 20 minutes of use!
