In our first session together, here's what you can expect
If not done prior to our first session, your interests and challenges will be identified through assessments, and open-ended questions in our first meeting. This will help create a safe environment for you to express your needs and preferences, and allow me to tailor my therapeutic approach accordingly.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
As a therapist, I acknowledge the vast diversity of human experience and do not lock myself into a single perspective. A rich and varied life experience helps me to be a better therapist and a more accepting person. My goal is to make our therapy sessions feel like you and I are on the same team, fighting the good fight together in a safe place.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My dream therapy client is a person who resonates with my therapeutic style and values, is open to deep exploration and is committed to the therapeutic process. The ability to identify your interests and challenges will help to foster a strong therapeutic alliance.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is used to identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors, helping you to manage emotions and cope with challenges more effectively. CBT includes structured sessions and practicing skills outside of therapy.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness is used to help you stay present and aware of your thoughts and emotions, without judgement, which enhances emotional regulation and reduces stress. Mindfulness improves your overall mental well-being.
