I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) working with adults ages 18 and up throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, I collaborate with you to determine the best approaches for you. We will work together as a team. I listen closely to your concerns, goals, and values and together we set goals and make adjustments as needed.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, you'll have a chance to ask me questions about therapy in general and specifically about how we can work together. I will ask questions to help me better understand your concerns and what issues are most important to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked and lived in many different countries, I bring a deep compassion for our shared human struggles and the unique ways we individually experience them. For this reason, I listen deeply to understand your story, making sure that I hear your voice in the context of your lived experience.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My clients represent many backgrounds and their concerns vary, but generally they are experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, life stressors, ADHD, and/or trauma. My clients include those who have been in therapy before and those who are trying it out for the first time. No matter where you are on your wellness journey, you are welcome here.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT helps my clients to notice their internal experiences without judgement. Rather than wrestling with who they are and what they feel, ACT based strategies have helped increase my clients' ability to notice their internal experiences and take actions grounded in their values and in line with their desired goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with clients to help them better understand the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We practice skills that help reduce negative thoughts and increase helpful, more productive ones.

EMDR

I have been using EMDR for over five years to help clients reduce the emotional impact of distressing memories or experiences. After a comprehensive assessment and client feedback, we decide collaboratively whether EMDR might be a good fit for you. I have seen many clients experience relief from trauma-related symptoms with EMDR therapy.
