Hi, I am a licensed clinical Social worker. My goal is to help women heal their worst pain, gain self-love, and learn how to process and communicate their emotions without shutting down or exploding with anger. Together, we will work on helping you get the coping skills you need to overcome depression, anxiety, and trauma. I will help you develop the skills to lift your self-esteem and learn to love yourself without holding back. Let’s work together on your emotional intelligence and let go of the shame and guilt that are created by childhood trauma, diverse cultural backgrounds, miscarriages/ grief of a loved one, and relationship issues. I will teach you how to set healthy boundaries and learn how to say no while creating the best version of yourself.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I like for you to work in session and learn skills that you can use as soon as your session is over. We will do grounding and guided meditations in session to help with anxiety. We will work on journaling exercises for anxiety. Will do in vivo communication exercises and role-play techniques that will help you with your relationships.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My background growing up with different cultures gave me first-hand experience learning how to balance expectations in the Latino culture and setting boundaries to improve my mental health. My personal experience alongside my extensive treatment in emotionally focused therapy and trauma-based CBT has given me the professional skills to help individuals gain life-changing coping skills. I have 4 years of experience working with interracial couples, first and second-generation immigrants (both as the parents and as the one who had to grow up in a new country), and with women who want to find a voice.
