I'm Jon Jasper, a therapist with over a decade of experience helping individuals navigate eating disorders, substance use, and trauma. I take a personalized, compassionate approach to care—drawing from narrative therapy, accelerated resolution therapy (ART), trauma-informed practices, CBT, and group therapy. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to heal, grow, and reconnect with their strengths.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions to understand your history, current concerns, and goals, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. This is a space for you to feel heard, supported, and safe as we begin building a foundation for our work together.
What sets me apart is my integrative approach and deep respect for each client’s unique story. With over a decade of experience, I bring a calm, grounded presence to sessions and blend evidence-based techniques with a creative, flexible mindset. I’m not just here to treat symptoms—I’m here to help you feel truly seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change.
I am best positioned to serve someone who’s ready to explore their story with curiosity and openness—even if they’re feeling uncertain or stuck. I especially enjoy working with individuals navigating recovery from eating disorders, trauma, or substance use, who are motivated to heal and reclaim their sense of self. You don’t need to have it all figured out—just a willingness to show up and engage in the process.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. Through practical tools and guided reflection, we work together to build healthier thinking habits, improve emotional regulation, and support lasting change.
I use narrative therapy to help clients explore the stories they tell about themselves and their experiences. Together, we work to identify unhelpful narratives and reframe them in ways that support growth, resilience, and a stronger sense of identity.
I incorporate trauma-informed care by creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and empowered. My approach respects each individual’s pace, prioritizes emotional safety, and integrates techniques that support healing without re-traumatization.
