Welcome! I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist specializing in helping individuals navigate the complexities of substance abuse, mental health challenges, trauma, and relationship difficulties. My work is rooted in a deep understanding of the unique struggles that many face, from the impact of childhood experiences to the ongoing challenges of adulthood. I offer support through adult child therapy, guiding individuals in healing from past wounds and cultivating healthier relationships with themselves and others. In addition, I provide adaptive parenting strategies to empower parents in navigating the ups and downs of life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming environment where we begin building a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship. This initial meeting is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, and for me to learn more about what brings you to therapy. We’ll start by exploring your current concerns and goals, while I gather a comprehensive biopsychosocial history to better understand your background, relationships, health, and life experiences. This helps me tailor our work to your unique needs. Most importantly, the first session is a space for you to feel heard, supported, and comfortable as we lay the foundation for our work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my approachable and down-to-earth nature, which helps clients feel at ease from the very beginning. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where people feel comfortable being themselves. My sincerity and genuine care for others allow me to build strong therapeutic relationships based on trust and mutual respect. I meet clients where they are, offering warmth, empathy, and encouragement as we work together toward meaningful change and personal growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is open to exploring new possibilities for growth and healing, and who approaches therapy with a sense of curiosity and willingness. They are motivated to understand themselves more deeply and committed to addressing their challenges in a way that fosters empowerment and lasting change. Whether navigating life transitions, managing emotional struggles, or working through past experiences, they are ready to take an active role in their healing journey and value the collaborative nature of the therapeutic process.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a mental health therapist, I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. I use CBT as a structured, goal-oriented approach that empowers clients to develop practical coping strategies and build resilience. In my practice, I tailor CBT interventions to each individual's needs, whether we're addressing anxiety, depression, or stress-related issues. I often incorporate cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and skills training to support clients in achieving lasting, meaningful change.

EMDR

As a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist, I use this evidence-based approach to help clients process and heal from trauma, distressing life events, and negative core beliefs. In my practice, EMDR allows clients to access and reprocess painful memories in a safe and structured way, reducing their emotional intensity and impact. I guide clients through the eight phases of EMDR, using bilateral stimulation to facilitate the brain's natural healing process. This method has been especially effective for individuals struggling with PTSD, anxiety, and self-esteem issues, and I’ve seen meaningful transformation as clients gain clarity, relief, and emotional freedom.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my practice, I incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify their strengths, set clear goals, and move toward positive change in a short period of time. This approach is grounded in the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives and have the resources within themselves to create solutions. I use SFBT by focusing on what’s working well, exploring past successes, and helping clients envision their preferred future. It’s especially effective for individuals seeking practical, goal-oriented support, and I find it empowers clients to make meaningful progress by building on their existing capabilities.

Grief Therapy

In my work with clients experiencing loss, I use grief therapy to provide a compassionate, supportive space where individuals can process their emotions and navigate the complexities of grief. I recognize that grief is a deeply personal and non-linear experience, and I tailor my approach to meet each client where they are. My work often includes exploring the relationship with the lost loved one, identifying and honoring emotions, and helping clients find meaning and connection after loss. Whether the grief is recent or long-standing, I aim to help clients move toward healing while honoring their unique journey.

Family Therapy

In my practice, I use family therapy to help families improve communication, strengthen relationships, and navigate challenges together in a supportive and collaborative environment. I work with families to identify patterns of interaction that may be contributing to conflict or disconnection, and I guide them in developing healthier ways of relating to one another. Whether addressing parenting concerns, life transitions, or unresolved tensions, my goal is to create a safe space where each family member feels heard and valued. I focus on building mutual understanding, enhancing problem-solving skills, and fostering stronger, more resilient family systems.
