I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, faith-based counselor, and life coach with a focus on addressing a wide range of human concerns, including stress, grief, loss, anxiety, and depression, as well as health concerns, including women's health issues such as those that arise through the menopause transition. I take an exploratory, holistic, integrative, and supportive approach to therapy that allows for a comprehensive understanding of your situation and fosters an open dialogue that encourages a collaborative process of discovery.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin exploring what’s bringing you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, any past experiences that feel relevant, and what you hope to get out of our work together. You’re welcome to share at your pace—there’s no pressure to go deep right away. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood and where we can begin to make sense of what you’ve been feeling heavy or unclear about. We'll work together to explore a range of options and strategies tailored to help you navigate your journey toward your goals. By the end of the session, you'll leave with a clearer insight into your situation and equipped with practical steps you can implement.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets me apart? I don’t do one-size-fits-all therapy. I tailor my approach—whether it’s narrative work, solution-focused strategies, family therapy, CBT, or mindfulness—to exactly what you need. I’ve worked with adults facing anxiety, depression, life’s messiness, and relationship chaos (because, let’s be real, we all have that). I am empathetic, non-judgmental, yet practical; I will listen, challenge, and assist you with tools and insights to help you better understand the patterns that are holding you back. Together, we’ll get practical, creative, and real so you can take charge of your story and your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adult individuals, couples, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship struggles, family issues, grief and loss, health, and midlife challenges—especially during transitional shifts like menopause and changes in family, at the workplace, and in social roles. Many of my clients are insightful and capable but privately feel emotionally stuck or disconnected. They may notice repeating patterns and struggle to find balance and a sense of joy and peace in their lives. I help clients understand those patterns, reconnect with their inner strengths, and move toward greater clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being.

My treatment methods

Narrative

This treatment modality has proven to be beneficial for clients seeking to reinterpret their experiences. I employ it to assist clients in discovering new avenues for reauthoring their narratives.

Family Therapy

I have found that this treatment method yields beneficial outcomes, as it enables the exploration of generational patterns that impact an individual's thoughts and behaviors. By utilizing a multigenerational genogram, I assist clients in mapping these patterns, which helps them gain deeper insights into themselves, their strengths, and growth areas. This process can also facilitate the discovery of new strategies to address their challenges.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Engaging in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with clients experiencing various forms of PTSD, depression, and anxiety has demonstrated effectiveness in assisting them in altering negative and unproductive thinking patterns and behaviors. Clients are initially evaluated through sessions to determine how they might best benefit from this modality.

Couples Counseling

In my work with couples, I often lean towards employing the principles of Gottman Theory. This approach has consistently demonstrated its effectiveness in navigating conflicts and fostering deeper, more meaningful communication between partners. By focusing on the specific dynamics of their relationship, Gottman Theory provides valuable insights and tools that help couples build a stronger emotional connection and resolve disagreements in a constructive manner.

Christian Counseling

This approach has demonstrated encouraging outcomes for clients who are receptive to therapeutic techniques that incorporate Biblical principles and spiritual guidance in their healing journeys. The goal is to enhance their mental and emotional well-being by thoughtfully integrating faith-based methods that align with each individual's unique beliefs and values.
