I am also a Qualified Supervisor for LMHC Licensure.
My goal is always to assist my clients in making the improvements necessary to improve their quality of life.
First session
In our first session, I would start with introductions and discussing reasons for seeking treatment as well as hopes/goals for the process. This will provide me with the information needed to create a plan for our sessions moving forward.
Strengths
My years of experience in this field have provided me with the ability to create great working relationships with my clients and creating a great balance with providing empathy, working to identify root causes and being solution focused.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with adults tackling life transitions; challenges in career, relationships, parenting; struggles with managing anxiety, depression, stress.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Throughout my career, I have employed CBT in order to assist my clients with identifying faulty thought patterns and learning how to challenge and reframe them in order to cultivate more productive/positive behaviors to move their lives forward.
Motivational Interviewing
I utilize Motivational Interviewing in order to assist clients in exploring their motivation or lack thereof for change and being able to actualize goals that work best for them.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I have used a solution focused approach with helping clients identify their current challenges and where they would like to go, goals to be accomplished to move forward as opposed to looking back.
