Greetings! I am a licensed mental health therapist with experience working with adults and adolescents with ADHD, mood disorders, bipolar, autism, antisocial disorder, borderline disorder, anxiety, depression and more. I am a National Certified Counselor that have spent more than 20 years passionately serving and motivating individuals of all ages and backgrounds. I have served in the prison population, in residential facilities, and hospital. In my spare time, I enjoy being in nature, and spending time with my family. I offer a safe space where you can be vulnerable regardless of where you are on your therapeutic journey. CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing techniques are utilized to position my clients develop and maintain long-term coping skills. I specialize in teaching effective communication skills that will help you both personally and professionally. You are not alone, on this journey. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We will collaborate to identify your challenges and goals - where you want your future self to be over the course of our therapeutic relationship. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You'll be empowered to leave the session with a better understanding of what is ahead and identify "steps I can take right now" approach. There will always be a safe space and room for suggestions concerning our work together, including keeping each other accountable.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths include building therapeutic rapport with adults and adolescents starting at 13 years of age. I am intentional about creating a safe and secure environment for my clients in which everyone feels valued. I meet every client where they are and help them to see life through new perspectives. I believe that every client has the potential to be victorious, and I am passionate about seeing individuals meet and or exceed their therapeutic goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past three years. It’s helped several of my clients challenge intrusive and recurring thoughts as well as and manage their anxiety and depression. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to reframe your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I’ve been using DBT in my practice for the past three years. It’s helped several of my clients challenge regulate their emotions and impulsivity as well as and manage their anxiety. We’ll use DBT to recognize how to process an influx of emotions. We’ll then use that knowledge to manage emotions and impulsive behavior patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
