We have experience working with a diverse range of clients and needs; however, our expertise is in supporting individuals dealing with depression, anxiety symptoms, and trauma. To best serve our clients, we incorporate various techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) , Motivational interviewing skills, and Person Centered therapy.

I’m Tomekia Edwards, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, New York, and California with over 17 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s most difficult seasons. My background spans inpatient behavioral health, mobile psychiatric assessment, HIV case management, and working with service members and military families. These experiences have shaped my ability to provide grounded, compassionate care across diverse and complex situations.
I commonly support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, work and school stress, and relationship challenges. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused techniques, allowing us to identify practical tools while also uncovering the strengths you already possess. I have extensive experience working with adults, children, families, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Exploring our mental health can sometimes be an overwhelming and daunting experience, especially in our current climate. Having a safe, comfortable, and nonjudgmental space to share your personal experiences is the foundation of the therapeutic process and can be the environment that you require in order to take the necessary steps to feeling whole again. My approach has always fostered a compassionate, client centered focus where your needs are put first and you are provided the freedom to be the expert in your life journey and meeting your personal goals along the way.
I am a licensed clinical social worker that has focused strictly on mental health counseling for 14 years. I graduated from Adelphi University with a graduate degree in 2014. I look to help you identify your strengths and apply them so that you can increase your knowledge of self to live to your full potential and achieve your desired outcomes. We do this by forming a trusting and caring relationship within a safe and secure space.
I support clients to explore their habitual beliefs and behaviors that have been causing personal distress and/or relational problems.
It can be challenging and even bring up fearful thoughts and feeling to start the counseling process. I invite you to push past your boundaries and allow me to support you on the journey towards knowing yourself and healing. This is so you can experience joy in the life you choose to make.
I look forward to meeting you,
Lisa Hotchkiss LCSW
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in trauma-informed, attachment-focused care for individuals. I support clients who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in survival mode, or impacted by past experiences that still show up in their daily lives. I help people understand how their history shapes their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships, and guide them in building healthier, more secure connections with themselves and others.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply client-centered. I believe therapy should feel safe, respectful, and empowering. I combine emotional insight with practical, evidence-based tools so clients can make real changes in how they regulate emotions, set boundaries, and show up in their lives. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected, not just during sessions, but in your everyday life.
Congratulations on taking the first step toward making change in your life!
My name is Carly. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 10 years of experience in behavioral health, and have worked with adolescents and adults experiencing both mental health and substance abuse disorders. I graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and completed an M.S.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at St. John's University.
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy, which will help you learn the tools to challenge patterns of thinking that leave you feeling stuck. By learning these skills, you will be more equipped to manage difficult relationships and tackle stressful life events. By shifting to an internal locus of control, you will finally begin to feel a sense of autonomy over your life. My style is to be more active during sessions, while being careful not to "advice give". You will always be in the driver's seat as we work together to better navigate problems.
Hi! I'm Fran Bax, MS, LMHC, LPC, CASAC-Master. I'm a licensed therapist in New York State and the state of Nevada. I specialize in integrating motivational interviewing and cognitive-based therapy to help clients overcome challenges such as depression, anxiety, and addiction. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment, where clients explore their motivations for change and learn practical strategies to challenge negative thoughts and behaviors. My approach emphasizes empowerment, resilience, and long-term growth, tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals.
I’m a licensed psychotherapist working with adults who may appear high-functioning on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally unsettled beneath the surface. Many of the individuals I work with are navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, self-doubt, or persistent patterns they can’t quite untangle on their own.
My style is thoughtful, steady, and insight-oriented. I integrate practical tools for emotional regulation with deeper exploration of relational patterns and attachment dynamics. I believe therapy should feel both grounding and meaningful — a place where you can slow down, understand yourself more clearly, and begin shifting patterns that no longer serve you.
Clients often describe me as calm, direct, and attuned. I aim to create a space that feels safe enough for honesty and structured enough for real change. My work focuses not only on reducing symptoms, but on building emotional clarity, stability, and more secure ways of relating — to others and to yourself.

I am a master’s level licensed clinical mental health counselor (LMHC), (LPC) and credentialed SUD Counselor (CASAC-A) (CADC II) with training and expertise in both Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as psychodynamic treatment. I work with young adults and adults and have expertise in treating patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, compulsive, addictive behaviors and domestic violence. I have specialized training in various evidence-based treatments for trauma such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I hope to help patients learn effective ways to cope with stress, manage difficult emotions and communicate well with others.
We have all acquired ways of coping that get in the way of our development, and manifest as emotional pain, such as anxiety and depression. I work with clients to identify and reduce these painful symptoms. Clients are then freer to use their energy in pursuit of their goals. I work with young, midlife, and older adults. I develop a safe and collaborative relationship with clients. In that context, I do short and long-term psychotherapy and train clients to use specific protocols to modify symptoms that are in the way of personal and professional functioning. My approach provides support, guidance, and education to help you become the best version of yourself and work towards achieving your goals. I consider it an honor to work alongside you, and I look forward to meeting you soon.

Hi, I’m Amanda, a licensed clinical social worker. I work with children, teens, and young adults who may look like they’re doing okay on the outside but are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, emotional, stuck, or unsure of themselves underneath it all. Whether your child is having bigger emotions lately, struggling with confidence, navigating friendships, feeling pressure at school, or just not seeming like themselves, therapy can be a place to slow down, feel understood, and build tools that actually fit their life.
My goal is to create a space that feels comfortable, genuine, and supportive—not intimidating—where clients can show up as themselves while learning ways to manage emotions, build confidence, improve relationships, and feel more like themselves again. I also work alongside caregivers because meaningful change happens both in and outside of sessions.

Hi, I'm Bethany, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a diagnostic privilege (LMHC-D) in New York State with over 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges. I am passionate about empowering people to build resilience, heal, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and centered on your individual needs. I provide a safe, nonjudgemental virtual space where you can feel comfortable, genuinely heard, and supported as we work together toward your goals.
Outside of my practice, I'm a wife and mother of two sons. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, bowling, birding, photography, and cooking.
I like to approach therapy like a journey that we take together- we work together to chart our course, to lean on one another in working through various challenges we encounter, to celebrate the successes and to hopefully reach the place you would like to see yourself in the end. I typically work to integrate discussions from a feeling and cognitive level to understand how we begin to untangle some of the challenges you might be experiencing.
I believe recovery doesn't have to be grim. I bring playfulness and humor into the room where it fits, because healing often involves finding joy again. My approach is rooted in the belief that your brain is trying to protect you—even when it feels like it's working against you. I don't just treat symptoms; I help you rebuild trust in your system. Whether you are dealing with intrusive thoughts, people-pleasing, low self esteem, coping with difficult personalities, we move at a pace that respects your life's demands.
• No "Resume" Talk: I skip the jargon. We focus on you and what you need to feel safe and get your agency back.
• Playful & Practical: Recovery can be hard, but it doesn't have to be grim. I bring warmth, at times humor, and real-world tools to our sessions.
• Trauma-Informed: I understand that your symptoms are trying to protect you. We work with your brain, not against it.
I'm Jackie — a licensed clinical social worker and addiction counselor who genuinely loves this work. I trained at NYU Silver and spent years in community mental health, inpatient, and outpatient settings before opening my private practice. I wanted something less clinical and more human.
I work with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, codependency, relationship struggles, and the kind of life transitions that leave you wondering who you even are anymore. A lot of my clients grew up in homes that felt unpredictable or unsafe — homes where they learned early to read the room, manage everyone else's feelings, and keep the peace at their own expense. They've been the capable one for so long that asking for help feels almost foreign. If that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.
Therapy with me is collaborative and conversational. Sessions feel more like a real conversation than a formal appointment. I'll help you understand the patterns underneath the surface stuff — why you react the way you do, where it came from, and what to do about it now. We'll draw from CBT, DBT, and IPT, building real skills along the way. Sometimes you'll leave with something to try between sessions; other times, something to sit with and think about.
My style is warm, direct, and skills-focused. I'll meet you where you are and gently push when it serves your growth, because real change usually means getting a little uncomfortable in a safe space. Humor shows up too — the hard stuff goes down easier when we can laugh at parts of it.
Asking for help isn't weakness. It's one of the braver things you can do.

Hello ~ my name is Tammy Piotter and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based out of New York state. I've been working in the field for 15 years and enjoy the opportunities to connect with others in a meaningful way. Coming along beside them to begin the process of creating the life they desire and deserve is my personal goal. My experience in working with individuals and groups with moderate to severe diagnoses allows me to connect with diverse others with compassion.
I predominantly work with young men struggling with social anxiety disorder. Do you struggle with social anxiety and poor self-confidence? I know that overcoming it is possible! Many come to therapy for social anxiety because of childhood trauma and how it has manifested in their adult lives. Often this manifests in feelings of poor self-confidence, poor self-worth, and poor self-confidence. At its root, the fundamental belief of those who have social anxiety is the belief, “I am not enough.” Clients get into the habit of comparing themselves to others and it makes them feel inadequate and insecure. Over time clients begin to avoid situations that elicit their anxiety, particularly social situations. This can lead to social isolation and loneliness. Clients will present with complaints of frequent panic attacks, not having a romantic partner, not having friends, not being happy in their jobs and feeling disconnected from life. They are labeled by others as shy, quiet, or introverted. This scenario described myself for much of my life which gives me lived experience to better able to assist you. I help individuals combat their social fears and begin to live a rich and fulfilling life. I do this through cognitive behavioral therapy techniques primarily but also integrate solution-focused therapy, assertiveness training, exposure therapy, and acceptance & commitment therapy. Whether you're a teen struggling to make friends and socialize or you are an adult unable to speak up at work meetings or unable to ask someone out on a date, I'm here for you! Seeking therapy can be frightening but I want to assure you that you will be most welcome if you take that leap of faith!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of clinical experience, specializing in trauma-informed care. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, and relational challenges, including those impacted by complex or chronic stress and past adverse experiences.
My approach is structured, direct, and evidence-based, while consistently prioritizing patient-centered care and maintaining unconditional positive regard. I focus on helping clients understand how trauma influences thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while building practical skills for emotional regulation, boundary setting, and improved interpersonal functioning. Interventions are paced to support safety, trust, and readiness for change.
I emphasize clarity, accountability, and measurable progress, while creating a therapeutic space that is respectful, nonjudgmental, and supportive. My goal is to help clients reduce the ongoing impact of past experiences, strengthen resilience, and apply effective coping strategies in their daily lives.
Hello My name is Kianna and I have been working in the mental health field for more than 25 years. I attended undergrad at Colgate University where I studied Sociology and Biology. There I developed a passion for Mental Health and a thirst to understand why people do the things we do. I attended the Syracuse University School of Social Work and majored in Mental Health. I have worked with diverse populations of all ages since then and came to find that I enjoy working with people who have come from disadvantaged backgrounds, people of color, women, Autists, and persons living with Anxiety and Trauma of all kinds. Trauma comes in many forms and the abuser can be a member of your family, a stranger and even your society.
As a Social Worker of color, I was drawn to becoming a therapist after my own struggle to find a therapist that looks like me. I want to dismantle the stigma that many communities carry about seeking help for mental challenges and show people that everyone can benefit from a better relationship with themselves.
I became a therapist because I've always wanted to help people grow through the challenges and obstacles in their lives. I combine a holistic, strengths-based approach when working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, college adjustment, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, grief/loss, pet loss, and trauma. I believe that there is nothing more empowering than discovering your inner strength and developing the courage to work through life's most difficult moments.
Before I received my MSW in Social Work, I became a Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor and Yoga Therapist. I also received my Bachelor's Degree in Creative Studies and writing. I enjoy working with clients who are open to both traditional modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Somatic practices that support and help regulate the body's response to stress and dysregulation by incorporating breathwork, meditation, yoga, and mindfulness skills.
I have always been drawn to the healing arts and the introspective work that can be found through psychotherapy, creative arts, writing/journaling, and yoga. I have been learning and engaging in these practices since 1998. It has been a lifelong passion of mine to bring these therapeutic modalities together to support the whole person so that my clients can discover their personal path to healing and live a more balanced, peaceful life.
Struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, or OCD can feel isolating, but help is available. I specialize in working with late teens and adults to untangle complex emotions and build lasting resilience. Clients often find my therapeutic style easy to connect with, creating a secure environment for genuine progress. If you are ready to understand what’s holding you back, contact me for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we are the right fit.

Therapy can feel broad and overwhelming. To simplify our approach, we'll seek acceptance and control of adversities that seem to dictate your life. Whatever stressors weigh on you, we'll troubleshoot what hasn't been working and process new tools to put in place. It is my responsibility to adapt to your preferences and ways of learning. I'll provide a space for you that can range from open discussion and exploration, to structured activities and weekly goals. Additionally, these steps are flexible and can be done in a matter of time that fits what you hope to achieve. All possible with individual, couples, and/or family therapy.
Life is complex, causing us to feel overwhelmed, uncertain, and disoriented. Let therapy be your compass. I'm trained in individual psychotherapy as well as couples & family dynamics. Thus, we'll think systemically about your presenting concerns as needed, helping to reduce individual burdens that come with depression, anxiety, and other presenting problems.
Having grown up in the helping field and being exposed to a variety of challenges, it is my pleasure to lend insight and support throughout your own adversities. I have helped a wide variety of clientele, including end of life care, couples on the verge of divorce, and addiction, to name a few. I look forward to the potential of working with you.

I understand that all behavior is communicative and sometimes we need help understanding what it is we are trying to communicate to ourselves and others.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have experience providing psychotherapy to children, youth, adults and families for over a decade. I have been trained in several modalities and I specialize in individual treatment. I strive to create an environment where you’ll feel safe and open to be yourself. I enjoy bringing humor into the therapeutic room, can provide a solution-focused lens, but will always work with you to find the style that will be most helpful.
