Alexa Eyring

LCSW9 years of experience

Hi, I'm Alexa! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I understand that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, so developing a genuine connection and ensuring you feel heard and understood are important parts of my work. I have experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families across school-based, outpatient, and inpatient settings. My clinical experience includes supporting individuals with anxiety, emotional regulation, self-esteem, stress, family and relationship dynamics, school-related concerns, and life transitions. I am also trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), a relationship-based, trauma-informed approach that has strengthened my experience supporting children and caregivers who have experienced trauma, significant stress, or disruptions in their relationships and sense of safety. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and individualized to your needs. Together, we will identify what is most important to you, explore the challenges bringing you to therapy, and develop practical strategies to help you work toward meaningful and realistic goals. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, going through a difficult season, struggling with anxiety or self-confidence, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I will meet you where you are and support you in taking meaningful steps toward healing and growth.

First session

The first few sessions will really be about getting to know one another and creating a space where you feel comfortable. We’ll spend time talking about your strengths, the challenges you may be facing, and what feels most important to you right now. We will begin to explore what you hope to get out of therapy and identify the areas where you feel support would be most helpful. From there, we’ll work together to create goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you.

Strengths

I take the time to understand what makes you unique, including your experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals, so that our work together feels meaningful and specific to you. I adapt our sessions based on what you need and where you are in the moment. Along with providing a supportive space to talk, process, and reflect, I incorporate practical, evidence based strategies that you can carry into your everyday life. Together, we can work toward building greater self awareness, developing healthier ways of coping, and creating changes that feel both realistic and lasting. Above all, I want you to feel that therapy is a place where you are genuinely heard, supported, and encouraged as you work toward the changes that matter most to you.

Ideal clients

My client could be someone who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply unsure of how to navigate what they are experiencing. You may be struggling with managing emotions, building confidence, coping with stress, navigating relationships or family dynamics, adjusting to a life transition, or just feeling like you could use some extra support. I especially enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults who are learning to better understand themselves and their emotions, as well as families looking for support through challenges or periods of change. You do not need to have everything figured out or even know exactly what you want from therapy. If you are open to taking that first step, we can work together to understand what you need and build from there.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify thought patterns, explore how they may be influencing emotional and behavioral responses, and work toward developing healthier, more balanced perspectives. I incorporate cognitive restructuring, behavioral interventions, and practical coping strategies tailored to each client's individual needs, with the goal of strengthening emotional regulation and creating meaningful and lasting change.
