New to Grow
Seeking therapy takes courage, and finding the right therapist is an important first step. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I provide a warm, supportive, and person-centered environment where you can feel heard, understood, and respected. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, professional burnout, and career-related challenges. I also support clients navigating LGBTQ+ and women's issues. Together, we'll explore what's holding you back, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies that help you move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
During our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. I'll ask about your current concerns, relevant history and what you hope to gain from our work together. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what has or hasn't been helpful in the past and determine whether we feel like a good fit. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. Together, we'll begin identifying goals and develop a plan that feels meaningful and tailored to your needs.
What sets my approach apart is my ability to balance empathy with honest, thoughtful feedback. I provide a supportive space where you will feel heard and understood, while also helping you recognize patterns and gently challenging beliefs that may be keeping you stuck. I integrate practical, evidence-based strategies with deeper exploration of the underlying experiences and relationship patterns that influence how you think, feel and respond to life's challenges. I believe therapy should be more than a place to vent. It should be a collaborative process that leads to meaningful, measurable progress. Together, we'll build insight, develop effective coping skills and work toward lasting change while maintaining an environment where you feel both supported and accountable.
My ideal clients are adults of all ages and backgrounds who are motivated to invest in themselves and create meaningful change. I particularly enjoy working with young professionals navigating career changes, workplace stress, anxiety, and burnout, as well as individuals facing life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or questions about purpose and direction. Many of my clients are thoughtful, insightful people who have spent a great deal of time trying to figure things out on their own and are looking for a collaborative partner to help them move forward.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we will identify the patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety or feeling stuck and explore healthier, more balanced ways of responding. CBT is a practical, collaborative approach that not only helps you gain insight into why you're feeling the way you do, but also provides tools you can use outside of therapy to create lasting change. My goal is to help you feel more confident in managing life's challenges long after therapy has ended.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate DBT-informed techniques to help clients better manage emotions, cope with stress, and improve relationships. DBT is a practical, skills-based approach that teaches strategies for staying grounded during difficult moments, regulating emotions, communicating effectively and responding thoughtfully rather than reacting impulsively. In our sessions, we'll identify the skills that best fit your needs and practice applying them to real-life situations.
Psychodynamic
A psychoanalytic approach to therapy helps you understand the deeper reasons behind your thoughts, feelings, and relationship patterns. In sessions, we’ll talk about what’s going on in your life right now while also exploring how earlier life experiences and important relationships may still be influencing you today, even in ways you might not immediately notice. The goal is to develop deeper self-awareness so that change comes not only from new coping skills, but from understanding yourself in a more complete and meaningful way.
