If you're feeling overwhelmed by life’s transitions or struggling to find your footing, I want you to know you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m Brandi McDonald, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults build the resilience they need for lasting change. In our sessions, I combine evidence-based methods with a warm, flexible approach tailored to your unique story. Whether you are managing anxiety, navigating school stressors, or working through relationship challenges, we will create a respectful space where you feel truly seen and heard. Together, we’ll turn insight into action—building your confidence and clarity one step at a time.
Our first session is all about creating a comfortable, low-pressure space for us to connect. You don't need to have all the answers or a perfect plan—this is simply a conversation to help me understand your story, what’s weighing on you, and what you hope to achieve. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to learn about your strengths, while ensuring there is plenty of room for you to ask me anything about my approach. My goal is for you to leave our first meeting feeling truly heard and clear on our next steps together.
I believe therapy should adapt to you, not the other way around. My approach is defined by warmth and flexibility, moving away from 'one-size-fits-all' models to honor your unique identity and strengths. By using a neurodiversity-affirming lens, I help you (or your child) bridge the gap between deep emotional insight and practical, everyday skills. My clients often share that our work feels like a true partnership—one that empowers them to improve self-regulation, build confidence, and advocate for their needs with clarity and ease.
I am best positioned to serve curious, self-reflective individuals—typically aged 12 and older—who are navigating the complexities of personal identity, self-growth, or life transitions. My "clients" are often those who feel overwhelmed by information and need a collaborative partner to help them break down multifaceted topics into clear, manageable insights. Whether someone is exploring their unique sense of self, repairing the past, or simply trying to find the right words for their internal experiences, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for exploration. My ideal mindset is one that is open and growth-oriented; I serve those who value learning as a tool for personal empowerment. By providing objective support and tailored information, I help individuals gain the emotional literacy and confidence they need to advocate for themselves and navigate their unique paths with greater clarity.
