About me

My name is Brittany DeBell and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who blends evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness and nervous-system-based tools. I help adults navigate anxiety, stress, and life transitions with clarity and compassion. My goal is to help you understand your patterns, build emotional balance, and feel more grounded in your daily life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a chance for you to slow down, take a breath, and share your story at your own pace. I’ll guide the conversation with curiosity and care, helping you explore what’s been feeling heavy or stuck. You can expect me to listen deeply, reflect patterns I notice, and gently challenge thoughts that may be keeping you from feeling your best. I often introduce simple breath work or grounding exercises, nothing forced, just practical tools to help you feel centered and safe in the moment. Together, we’ll start identifying your goals for therapy and create a plan that feels realistic and supportive. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and a little more hopeful about the path ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I love blending science and soul to help bridge evidence-based methods like CBT with mindfulness, nervous system awareness, and body-based practices. I try to make the neuroscience of healing feel accessible and empowering, not clinical or cold. It provides us with a structure that has heart integrated in. I love to give you gentle challenges with compassion. So I don’t just nod and validate; I'll gently invite clients to look deeper, to question old stories, and to step into self-accountability, all without shame or pressure. Life can be cold and challenging so through humor and realness I try to bring warmth, lightness, and even a little humor into sessions. My hope is that this helps clients exhale, feel human, and realize growth doesn’t have to be rigid or heavy. It makes the healing process more approachable and real.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are insightful and ready to make meaningful changes, people who may look put together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected on the inside. Many of my clients are caregivers, parents, or professionals who’ve spent years prioritizing everyone else and are now realizing they need space to breathe, reset, and reconnect with themselves. You might be struggling with anxiety, burnout, trauma, or big life transitions that have left you feeling stuck. You’re open to reflection and learning new tools, you don’t just want to talk about what’s wrong, you want to understand your patterns and create lasting change. In our work together, we’ll use evidence-based approaches like CBT to untangle unhelpful thoughts and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) that I've learned through being a yoga teacher to calm the nervous system. You can expect a mix of practical skills, genuine warmth, and a little humor along the way. My goal is to help you feel grounded, balanced, and more confident in your ability to handle life’s challenges.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that fuel anxiety. Such as catastrophic thinking or excessive self-blame. Together, we build awareness of these automatic thoughts, learn grounding and cognitive reframing techniques, and practice replacing fear-based beliefs with more balanced, empowering perspectives.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I integrate Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction techniques to help clients reduce stress by learning to observe their thoughts and emotions without judgment. Through guided mindfulness practices, breath awareness, and grounding exercises, clients learn to respond rather than react, building calm and emotional balance in daily life.
