New to Grow
I'm Robert, a licensed CBT therapist based in New York with over 20 years of experience. I work with adults navigating anxiety and depression, and various other behavioral health issues, drawing on a background that spans a wide range of settings and populations. My approach is practical and collaborative — together, we'll build real skills to help you feel better and move forward.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and start mapping out a path forward. I'll ask about what's been bringing you difficulty, your history, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. This initial evaluation helps me understand the full picture so we can build a treatment plan that's tailored to you. By the end of our time together, you'll have a clearer sense of what we'll work on and what CBT can look like in practice for your specific goals.
After many years of experience, I've gotten pretty good at making CBT feel less like homework and more like something that actually fits your life. Clients tend to warm up quickly. I've worked with a wide range of people across many settings, which has taught me that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to feeling better. What I bring is genuine warmth, real experience, and a commitment to meeting you exactly where you are.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have extensive training in the application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is the gold standard for the treatment of anxiety and depression, as well as many other behavioral health issues.
