About me

With nearly 30 years of experience as a social worker, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. Throughout my career, I’ve learned that every person’s story is unique, and that feeling truly heard and understood can make a meaningful difference. My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore what you’re experiencing, work through challenges, and move toward the changes you want to make. My goal is for you to feel comfortable being yourself, without judgment, while we work together at a pace that feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I strive to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe being yourself and know that you are truly seen and heard. Together we’ll explore the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be getting in the way of the life you want, while building practical coping skills to help you feel more grounded and in control. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I tailor my approach to your individual needs, experiences, and goals. We will focus on what you’re experiencing today, we may also explore how past experiences continue to shape the present. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you can gain greater insight, develop confidence in navigating life’s challenges, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using CBT we will work together to notice patterns that may be making things harder for you, examine whether those thoughts are accurate or helpful, and practice healthier ways of thinking and responding.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is basically about learning how to handle those moments when your emotions feel really big or overwhelming. We work on skills that can help you slow things down, understand what you’re feeling, and respond in a way that feels better for you. We’ll also talk about things like managing stress, getting through tough moments without making things harder, and communicating your needs in your relationships.
