My clinical experience has been providing individual therapy services to adolescents, adults and seniors. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief and family issues. My goal is to create a space where clients can authentically express themselves without fear of judgment or misunderstanding and to empower individuals to present their true selves confidently to the world. I aim to help clients embrace all parts of themselves as they heal and grow. You are the narrator of your story and I am here to guide and help support you through your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we'll start with introductions, building rapport, tansparency and expectations you have of the therapy relationship. We will discuss any resistance, hesitation or thoughts about going to therapy and work through those feelings. We will discuss your beliefs, goals and challenges you feel are keeping you from obtaining those goals. This will help us to create a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am able to listen without judgment and convey to my clients that I care and I am here to help. I validate and affirm. I seek to empower others and remind them of their power. The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don't have any. -Alice Walker

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) works on changing our thought process surrounding our mental health, symptoms, and situations. CBT reinforces that our thoughts influence our emotions and in turn, our actions. I have years of experience in this area with clients to help manage symptoms, especially with Anxiety and Depressive disorders.

EMDR

This method allows your brain to address trauma through eye movements and tapping.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

With solution-focused therapy, I work with clients to identify solutions to their presenting problems by creating goals to improve specific areas of their lives or their daily functioning. Sessions begin by helping clients identify their values and strengths and may focus on managing stress, building healthy relationships, improving self-esteem or managing mood and anxiety symptoms that are negatively impacting daily functioning.
