First session
My first sessions are simple. I want people to feel comfortable. Let's talk and ensure that I am the right fit for you. To me, that is the most important thing for a first session. And never feel bad if I'm not a fit! This is for you and for your own healing. Make sure you are comfortable and happy moving forward.
Strengths
I am considered a "conversational" therapist. My approach is simple: two people talking through problems with no judgement. I tend to be more casual and encourage clients to be themselves, relax, and remain as stress free as possible during the therapy process!
Ideal clients
I feel like I work best with people struggling with anxiety and the progression of life. We can all agree that life is tough and can sometime lack the natural progression we need, so we need to "blaze our own trail" at times. Some of my most successful cases have come with people who felt lost coming into therapy and were able to walk out with a clear and desirable set of life goals.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Ultimately, CBT is brain reshaping or remapping. One way has not worked, so we work on "reprogramming" your brain to put you back in control and take away some of that "my brain just does it's own thing" feeling.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I will probably ask you about your self-care routines often. To me, there is nothing more important than creating time for yourself!
