I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapy therapist who enjoys providing trauma-focused care to people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds. I have provided individual, couples and family therapy for over 12 years in New York both in English and Spanish. I am a first generation child of immigrant parents and I also enjoy supporting other first gen clients navigating the complexities of balancing the expectations of both cultures. I also have extensive experience supporting those who are suffering the loss of a loved one (including loss due to a violent crime) and helping victims of crime navigate the criminal justice system.
In our first session we would discuss what is currently bringing you to therapy, family history, medical history and overall factors that could be influencing your current concerns. Our first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and discuss what you would like to accomplish during our time together in therapy.
My focus in therapy is to provide you with warm and affirming care while working together to achieve your goals and improve your day-to-day living.
