Hi everyone, I'm Greg
I understand that emotions can be confusing, relationships can be messy, and past experiences can negatively impact our present lives, however, I believe that with proper coping strategies, we don’t have to remain stuck in dysfunctional patterns. I realize change can be scary and people often remain frozen in place due to the fear of the unknown. While change and acceptance are two concepts that are diametrically opposed, with the right mindset, they can work hand-in-hand to promote growth and healing.
I have been helping clients improve their lives for over two decades. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, obtaining my Masters of Social Work through Indiana University and my Doctorate of Social Work through Capella University. My doctoral capstone project researched the use of Integrated Treatment to effectively treat co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders using a holistic approach to treat these disorders simultaneously, as oftentimes, the root causes of addiction are comingled with other underlying mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, or grief. I believe that treating both conditions simultaneously brings about the best chance of success for lasting healing and recovery.
Before obtaining my doctoral degree, I spent two decades working at a community mental health center through its emergency services department. This experience provided the opportunity to work with diverse clients struggling with all manner of concerns. Additionally, I spent the past six years working part-time at an addiction recovery center treating clients individually, in groups, and with their family systems to help combat the disease of addiction. As a result of these opportunities, I am experienced in all manners of mental health, as well as addiction counseling, family counseling, and grief counseling.
I am Becka Oberle and I am a licensed Clinical social worker who has worked in the counseling field for 30 plus years. My approach to my work is very client centered but also engage person to person allowing my clients to feel more comfortable while still creating a therapeutic relationship and environment. I am goal focused and like to always I provide actions and tools for my clients so they are making continuous growth. I have used many tools in my career knowing not everyone connects in the same way and thinking outside the box is vital. In my career 3 of my dogs have worked with me as trained therapy dogs and one of my horses worked with me doing equine therapy. I look at each person as an individual and use their strengths and talents to help them learn to express and walk through life's struggles. I find not everyone is most comfortable with talking or writing so will encourage a client to use a drawing journal to express feelings when that is something they enjoy and feel more confident in using. I am a christian based counselor and will, at client request, use a faith based approach that can add an added support for the client. I am so blessed to have had this as my career and have worked with clients of all ages starting my career on the cancer center a Riley hospital for Children, moving to a locked unit with juvenile offenders ages 5-11, equine assisted therapy for at risk teens, to working with seniors in long term care or living at home. I am now doing my work from home making the progression as people have been given this as a source of support and allowing them to get help from home.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing for over 10 years. I graduated from Indiana University with my Masters in 2013. I enjoy learning what motivates my clients so that we can collaborate together to set realistic goals and I am transparent with my clients and work together as a team. I strive to provide a safe and encouraging space for my clients to work toward growth and healing.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I believe each individual is the expert of their own life, with a unique story, identity, and set of experiences. I recognize that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, which is why I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other; to meet the distinct needs of every individual, couple, and family I work with.

I am a firm believer in therapy and what it can do for the mind and the soul. I believe that our childhood trauma can be a huge impact on our adult life. It is resiliency that gets us through it. I have work with many individuals of all color, culture, religion, background and experiences. I use a variety of therapeutic frameworks such as solution focused, motivational interviewing, trauma focused, dialectical behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy. I am constantly learning and maintaining my competency of skills.
Are you feeling stuck and unsure of how to get past symptoms of anxiety, depression or past trauma? It's common to experience mental health-related challenges in life and to get stuck at times. We're not born with a built-in understanding of how to be psychologically healthy, so sometimes it's a good idea to get a little guidance from an unbiased professional. My ideal client is motivated to understand themselves better and to make the necessary adjustments to improve their quality of life.
I am a therapist with over 30 years of experience helping people. I enjoy helping people overcome challenges and move toward their goals. The focus of my work is helping people develop healthy coping skills so they can grow and change. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing therapeutic space for people to explore their thoughts and feelings so they can move forward.
I have been working with children, adolescents, adults and families for 25 years. I love helping people see their own potential in challenging times. I provide compassion, understanding and tools that help people reach the best version of themselves. I have both personal and professional experience that can guide anyone in the direction they want. I want you to feel heard and understood. Life can be difficult with situations that are out of your control, but I want to help you gain more control in your thinking and behavior choices.
