My name is Nichole Epperson, but I go by Nicki. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Indiana and the owner of Transcendence, LLC. I have over 8 years of experience providing mental health services to individuals and families struggling with emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric symptoms. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in 2015 then went on to obtain my Master's Degree in the field of Social Work at the University of Southern Indiana. I have gained experience in the field by networking with numerous community outreach programs and other community mental health programs. With this being said, I have also become gravely aware of the mental health crisis affecting our community. The goal of Transcendence, LLC is to help combat this crisis and help those in our community rise above these obstacles by providing specialized therapeutic services with the understanding that you are the author to your own story, and your story is not over yet!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will get to know one another and begin to discuss your goals for therapy by completing a biopsychosoical assessment. This will assist with creating a treatment plan and learn best how to help you!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked in the social work field for almost 10 years. I have worked with many populations and community outreach programs which have in turn allowed me to grow as a professional.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is my primary modality used for treatment due to the connection between cognition and behavior.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma often affects not only our thoughts but our behavior as well. TFCBT is used in my practice to assist with creating a safe space to process the trauma and move forward.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT treatment is used to assist with mood disorders and anxiety. The primary focus in this modality is self care and acceptance.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is used to gain rapport and assist the client in coming to their own conclusions with the guidance of a professional.
