Walking with people through life's difficulties and struggles is a privileged, honor, and part of my purpose in life. I commit my life to helping people find their way back to the right paths that they want to be on to live out their purpose. Hi! My name is Lana and I have been a LCSW since 2011. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I specialize in issues of adjustment, trauma, depression, anxiety, crisis, grief, child and adolescent behaviors, and sexual abuse. I also have experience with talking with individuals with mood and personality disorders, PTSD, and issues surrounding divorce. On a more personal level, I enjoy traveling and refer to myself as a coffee connoisseur. I also have two small dogs that think they run the world and like to introduce themselves from time to time in my sessions. I always have a plan but I believe some of life's greatest adventures are in taking the scenic route.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session we will get to know each other and determine what the client hopes to achieve in therapy. My only goal during this session is to help the client feel welcomed and safe. We will also set goals and begin to plan the therapeutic journey. However, this may look different for each person. We will move at the pace the client feels comfortable.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My strongest strength is being open minded and meeting people right were there are, in that moment. I enjoy my job! My goal is to help my clients feel like they are free to express themselves and ask questions. I do pride myself in keeping sessions “non-doctor” like. I want clients to feel like they are at home and safe in our conversations.
