We're not born with a built-in understanding of how to be psychologically healthy, so sometimes it's a good idea to get a little guidance from an unbiased professional. My ideal client is motivated to understand themselves better and to make the necessary adjustments to improve their quality of life.
During our initial sessions, we will work to identify the nature of the problem(s), which will then be utilized to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps to increase the enjoyment and meaning in your life.
I offer individual therapy and have specialty training in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for depression. I have spent the majority of my career in an outpatient hospital setting and have expertise treating a wide range of presenting concerns, including relationship problems, anxiety, depression, trauma and grief.
I utilize CBT to help clients make changes to thinking patterns and behaviors to help improve depression, anxiety, and to facilitate recovery from past trauma.
