Clients generally come to me because they are experiencing disruption to their lives due to their use of, or a loved ones use of, drugs and/or alcohol, significant anxiety and stress challenges or have suffered a trauma which is preventing them from living the life that they want to be able to live.
I have over 20 years experience in treating behavioral health issues such as substance misuse/addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression. I use a trauma based approach which leans on Somatic psychotherapy skills. Ultimately, this means we will be trying to take care of body and mind together in order to regulate the nervous system.
I was born and raised in Ireland. As a teenager I watched my brother struggle with substance abuse. I witnessed the effects trauma and addiction had on his life and on those of us who loved him dearly. My life's work is to try to help others avoid or manage this pain.
Hello and thanks for stopping by. I am Travis Buchanan, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LAADC). I am dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families create meaningful, lasting change. With extensive experience working with professionals in high-stress careers, I understand the unique pressures faced by executives, healthcare providers, entrepreneurs, and other driven individuals who often carry immense responsibility while silently managing burnout, anxiety, or disconnection at home.
I believe that people are motivated by a deep desire for belonging, significance, and purpose. My therapeutic work focuses on understanding each client’s lifestyle patterns, early experiences, and core beliefs about themselves, the world and others that shape present-day struggles. Rather than pathologizing, I emphasize encouragement, insight, and personal responsibility—helping clients move from discouragement to confidence and clarity.
As an LAADC, I have significant experience supporting individuals overcoming alcohol and substance use disorders, as well as behavioral addictions. I integrate relapse prevention, emotional regulation skills, and values-based goal setting within a compassionate, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship. I recognize that addiction often develops as an attempt to cope with stress, trauma, or relational pain—and help clients build healthier, more sustainable ways to meet those needs.
As an MFT, I also have worked extensively with individuals, couples and families navigating conflict, communication breakdowns, and life transitions, as well as individuals coping with grief and loss. My approach is collaborative, practical, and insight-oriented, empowering clients to strengthen relationships, restore balance, and live with greater intention and connection. Some of my interests outside my work include travel, music, baseball and reading.

Hi, I am a licensed clinical social worker in northern California. My primary background experience is in helping clients to regain/increase control over their mental health, via developing increased insight/understanding of symptoms, identifying and utilizing coping skills, developing positive support systems, and increasing ability to problem-solve/navigate challenges.
I have worked with adults in multiple settings, including those experiencing active crisis within acute locked psychiatric care, clients coming into outpatient clinics for mental health services and counseling/groups, clients utilizing substance use disorder treatment individually and in groups, and adult clients with developmental disabilities in the group home setting. Professionally, I've also worked both as direct care staff as well as in management and supervisor roles, and have also mentored undergraduate and graduate students.
I'm looking forward to meeting you and offering you support.
*** At this time I am unfortunately only able to meet with clients at the top of each hour. This is in order to maximize the number of clients I can meet with during each week. Thank you for your understanding. ***
Welcome!
My name is Nathan Taylor and I’d like to thank you for taking the time to look over my profile and to learn a little about me as a therapist. Choosing a therapist can be challenging (and maybe even more than a little anxiety provoking!) and it is important to take the time to find someone that you feel may be a good fit to work with towards helping you achieve your goals in therapy. With that in mind, I wanted to share a little about myself and my own path as a therapist. Should you feel like we may be a good fit, I genuinely look forward to meeting and hopefully working with you.
Each of our own personal experiences, dreams, goals, hopes, and needs, both in life and in therapy are unique and individual. You may know exactly what those are for you, or you may feel like you are lost and overwhelmed. Either way, my role is to help you along your own path. To help define what you are struggling with and to take the steps that are needed to work through those struggles and challenges. Whatever your reason is for seeking therapy, know that it can be an incredibly valuable tool towards finding what it is that you are looking for.
I’ve been in the mental health field in one way or another for well over 20 years, working with children, families, couples, and adults, both in the public sector and in private practice. While I started my career working with children in group homes, foster care, and in the legal system, my passion as a therapist has taken me in many directions. I’ve worked for many years as both a clinical supervisor for new and learning therapists and as an upper-level manager/administrator in the public mental health sector. Most recently, in addition to my work in private practice I ran several types of community mental health programs, both outpatient and inpatient, for a large behavioral health company providing mental healthcare to adults. I became a licensed therapist in 2008, yet I’m constantly learning, growing, and developing every day in order to become the best therapist that I can be. It’s my belief that it is an honor and privilege to work with people as a therapist to help each person in the way that they need.
Over the years, I’ve received several advanced trainings and certifications that I’ve pursued to obtain the skill sets needed to specialize in a few areas that I believe are tremendously effective and helpful to those I work with. I’ve found that EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Hypnotherapy are the types of therapy work and interventions that are not only backed by research as highly effective, but also really resonate with those that I work with. As with anything in therapy, there is no one-size fits all approach, and I find it most valuable to help create a treatment approach in complete collaboration with you.
As an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained therapist, I've found this evidenced-based approach to therapy to be particularly effective with people for a wide variety of reasons, and as such EMDR is my current primary specialty. As EMDR therapy has gained a significant amount of positive attention lately, this may be something you're familiar with, heard about and would like to know more, or it's all together new to you. I'd be more than happy to share additional information with you about EMDR should you be interested in learning more.
Again, thank you for taking the time to learn a bit more about me. You’ve found the courage to get this far, let’s see how much further we can get together!

We come to therapy to understand and solve our most complex personal challenges. When suffering goes deep enough, therapy is an intuitive response to problems that are emotionally complex and cannot be solved by our ordinary methods. Therapy alleviates our isolation by giving us the specialized and dedicated attention of a therapist. Therapy restores or kindles confidence in our ability to make it through difficult times. Lastly, it gives us some emotional distance, some sense of freedom, from the at times consuming turmoil of our personal lives by stimulating a deeper or broader understanding.
I am not a passive presence in the room (or on the screen). I listen carefully for understanding and I tend to interact - openly questioning, searching, and challenging. My roots are psychodynamic and comtemplative, though I tailor my work to each client's unique needs. My personal style is warm, open, and engaging.
A particular interest of mine is the relationship between psychological growth and spiritual development. As a long time meditation practitioner, I am drawn to ancient spiritual traditions and to how they can inform and deepen our hectic and restless modern lives.
I am an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and existential issues. I also work with creative individuals who often feel "stuck." IFS can be particularly helpful for those struggling with complex trauma because it helps clients understand and heal their inner parts that may be stuck in protective or extreme roles. For creative individuals, IFS can help them identify and manage inner parts that may be critical or perfectionistic, thereby fostering a more fulfilling creative process.
I’m Raphael, a dedicated therapist specializing in transformative self-discovery and emotional resilience. Drawing on Somatics, Buddhist and Western psychological, mythological and philosophical traditions, IFS- inspired parts work and attachment theory, I guide individuals who feel stuck, overly dependent, or uncertain about their path to uncover their strengths, overcome trauma and chart a meaningful future. My clients range from those navigating personal transitions to professionals aiming to overcome self-doubt. Through structured, empathetic sessions, I help you process your past, align your present actions with your values, and build confidence to pursue purposeful goals. My approach fosters sovereignty, challenges doubt, and empowers you to face life’s challenges with courage and clarity. Whether you’re seeking to break free from limiting patterns or define a vision that inspires, I’m here to help you create lasting, authentic change in a safe, reflective space.

I am warm, DIRECT, solution-focused, AUTHENTIC, mildly confrontational, 100% Raw/Real and guaranteed to make you laugh as I have heard often from clients that I am funny :-) I won't lie to you or co-sign lies you tell yourself. I will gently reflect what you are not saying and what you are not showing so that you can explore for yourself. The intention of services provided to present and future clients are to support them in navigating through the pain. The only way out is through. Not above, below, or around the pain but through it. The good news is you are not alone and don’t have to do it alone. Utilize the resources offered in this collaborative effort in creating the life (mind, body, & soul) you deserve.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I received my Master's degree from California State University, Fresno, and my Doctorate from Walden University in Minnesota. With 18 years of experience in the field, I specialize in helping individuals navigate their emotional and relational challenges to lead more fulfilling lives. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, focusing on empowering my clients with the tools they need to achieve their personal and interpersonal goals.
Over human history, people have mostly lived in close-knit communities. This has eroded with the advances in transportation and technology. Most people have lost much of the social support our forebearers enjoyed. Mental Health Professionals have taken on this role in their respective communities and are an excellent resource for you to realize your strengths and improve your well-being. When your car breaks down you take it to a mechanic. When your tooth hurts you see a dentist. When your mental health can use a “tune-up,” see a Mental Health Professional!
I have a clinical background in treating high acuity mental health disorders that include anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance, mood, and personality disorders. I have extensive experience working in foster care agencies, crisis services units, and community behavioral health outpatient clinics.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in a humanistic perspective utilizing cognitive and dialectical behavior modalities with an emphasis in mindfulness based stress reduction and holistic wellness. I am eager to work with clients who are self aware and are in need of a therapeutic connection.

Research shows the Power of Connection drives roughly 60% of Therapeutic Success. My Compassionate Therapy Style focuses on Building Bridges of Trust and cultivating a meaningful connection with positive outcomes.
So, how do you find the best therapist for you? That's a great question. And it's one that most people struggle with answering whether it's their first or umpteenth search. Is it the therapist him/herself, their personality, theoretical approach, or specialty? While all these factors are important, it shouldn't be your responsibility to find the best clinician; rather it's the clinician's responsibility to become the best therapist for you.
I also have a particular interest in using holistic practices to help create great results for depression & anxiety disorders as well as trauma/PTSD and other mental/behavioral conditions. These include EFT Tapping, breathing/mindfulness/meditation, and Amino Acids, etc.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Addiction Counselor with nearly nine years of extensive professional experience in both mental health and addiction. Further, I have a personal background in overcoming addictions as well as several mental health and learning disabilities.

I'm a licensed therapist with 20+ years of experience specializing in OCD and anxiety. I treat intrusive thoughts, ROCD, harm OCD, moral OCD, and the doubt spirals that make high-functioning people feel completely stuck inside their own heads. But the reason clients say I actually get it isn't the degree — it's that I have OCD myself. I know that experience from the inside. That's the room I work in every day.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience providing compassionate and evidence-based mental health care. With an understanding and client-centered approach, I help individuals navigate life’s challenges and discover paths toward healing, growth, and self-understanding. My practice focuses on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore emotions, build resilience, and develop meaningful coping strategies. Drawing from evidence-based methods, I support people struggling with relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and personal transitions. My goal is to empower clients to foster deeper self-awareness and create sustainable, positive change in their lives.
I am a 54 year old bi-culutral father of two adolescents in the year 2025. With all of the social pressures that our families have been subject to, it's never been more important to be close and listen to each other. Social disconnect is the new pandemic and the challenges that interefere with social connection are the same ones driving our sense of faulty connection and confusion with pleasure and happiness.
I enjoy working with individuals, children and couples that are hoping to gain confidence in healthier communication skills. Getting to understand you and getting to know one another will help improve our relationships. This will help recognize where you are hoping to improve your qualities in daily functioning. Building an alliance with me can create a safe place to practice and process your thoughts and feelings. Being able to process your past experience will allow you to identify and process ongoing needs within your daily lifestyle. Therapeutic alliance helps individuals grow within and become aware of their own needs

Congratulations! You have taken the first steps in the journey to your goal(s). I am extremely grateful you are considering me to partner up with. I consider my relationships as instrumental in learning who I am. The relationships that most speak to who I am include being a spouse, father, brother, son, colleague, and friend. My grandparents are deceased. Through these relationships I have learned a great deal.

Thank you for sharing information about yourself. I'm so happy that you reached out for help. I am Robert Nwanganga, a licensed therapist. I have been a Social Worker since 2003. I also need to let you know that I am more interested in finding out why a certain behavior is occurring than I am in demonizing you for exhibiting the behavior.
I have worked with a diverse populations and I have learned that therapy has to be personal if it is to be effective. I am committed to working with you in finding what modality works with your personality and focus on your strength in dealing with the situation that brought you to us.
Hi, I’m Albert. I’m a Licensed Psychotherapist with more than a decade of experience. I help people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or hard on themselves learn to understand their patterns and make choices that align with what matters most.
Therapy with me is collaborative and active. We use CBT and mindfulness to work with thoughts, emotions, and habits. We bring in trauma-informed care when relevant. We can also explore meaning, values, and purpose if that fits you. The goal is not a stress-free life. The goal is a life you can stand behind with clarity, courage, and care for yourself and others.
You set the direction. I provide structure, tools, and steady accountability.
If this resonates, book a first session. We will map what’s not working, define what you want more of, and take one practical step right away.
It takes courage to accept and seek help and set out on your recovery journey. My focus in our work will be on meeting you where you are at and in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can collaborate and explore what can be helpful in addressing your needs, wants, and barriers to getting them met.
Together, we will challenge ourselves to show up authentically in relationship so we can examine the areas of your life that you would like support in. These areas can often include examining how systemic and cultural factors influence our perception of ourselves, others, and the world.
My hope in our work together is that you'll come away with a renewed sense of self and identity that not only addresses the hardships and challenges you have endured, but also empowers you to affirm your sense of agency, and make your mark on the world.
Hello, my name is Max, and I am an LCSW practicing in California.
My practice is frequently full, but beginning on April 27th I currently have one opening:
-Every other Monday from 6:00-7:00pm.
For many people, the hardest part of the therapy process is getting started. Asking someone to go to all the work of finding not just a therapist, but the right therapist for them, all while in the middle of a mental health crisis? It can be a daunting task. My practice centers around making that process as painless as possible, so that we can get right to the core of what made you decide to seek therapy in the first place, and get to work on working on you.

You will have my support and encouragement to succeed. Therapy is your work to be done; I will be your guide.

Hello and Welcome!
Are there moments in your life where you wished things could go better? Have you noticed changes in being able to connect with yourself (mind/body) or being able to connect with others (friends, family, new acquaintances)? I utilize a cultural humility and solutions focused approach to ensure that you are in the driver seat and I can be your headlights in reaching that destination. We all need someone to talk to, so let's work together. Tambien hablo Espanol.

27 years as a clinical social worker has taught me that finding the right therapist is like trying on a pair of shoes. It has to be the right fit for you to start the journey of self-exploration. I believe in a strength based approach, where we not only explore the issues that brought you to therapy, but we explore how to expand the things that bring you joy and happiness. As Dr. Seuss once said, “life is a great balancing act” and he could not have been more right.
My practice focuses on individual therapy for adolescents, and adults. My areas of expertise include depression, mood disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, Trauma, and transitional issues of work, relationships, etc.

Dr. Mario Rocha is a psychotherapist, CEO of a non-profit organization, author, speaker, and father. He has spent over 10 years in the mental health field. He obtained a doctorate of psychology in marital family therapy and is a licensed marriage and family therapist. He specializes in working with trauma, complex PTSD, family trauma, and couples therapy. He also works with anxiety, depression, and other mental health-related issues. He has done extensive research on sex trafficking victims and complex trauma. He has a passion for the arts, underserved communities, and program development.
I work with adults who carry a lot — often more than others realize. On the outside, you may seem capable and grounded. On the inside, anxiety feels persistent, old experiences still surface, and the ways you've been coping may no longer be working. Whether you're navigating trauma, burnout, a major life transition, or patterns that keep pulling you back, I offer a steady, nonjudgmental space to slow down, make sense of what's happening, and build something more sustainable. With over 10 years in mental health, I bring a trauma-informed, culturally aware perspective to every session — focused on your whole story, not just your symptoms.
I’m a proud African American/Black Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), licensed in California since 2022. With over six years of experience in mental health and social work, I’m passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges. My focus is on serving disenfranchised communities, including people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, trauma survivors, and those facing issues like depression and anxiety. I aim to create a safe, affirming space rooted in empathy, cultural humility, and social justice.
I have been in the helping professions since 2005 and as a licensed therapist for 16 years. I’ve worked with a variety of clients of different cultures throughout. Early in my training, there was a heavy emphasis on the Western approach to address symptomology, but now as my career and experience have grown, I blend Western approach with Eastern influence, emphasizing the link between the mind and the body, and how trauma lives within the body, not just in our minds.
I've been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the past 16 years and love what I do. I approach all my clients with empathy and compassion whatever reason they are seeking therapy. If this is your first time trying therapy, you will soon realize that you are simply having a conversation with a person that knows how to listen and wants to get to know you. I approach my clients with unconditional positive regard, acceptance, and non-judgment. I work to create a safe environment for them to feel confident that I can hold their pain and gently ask questions to find out why they are seeking treatment. I know that I’m not here to be your friend but to provide a service and help you learn the right tools to regulate their emotions, describe in words their inner pain, and keep their hope instilled.

I have a passion for working with adults dealing with issues related to their relationship with food and/or body image concerns - finding myself serving as a co-chair of the Male Eating Disorder Special Interest Group (SIG) for the Academy for Eating Disorders.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) with nine years of experience working with adolescents (high school–aged and older) and adults facing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. I specialize in supporting teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm behaviors, and trauma/PTSD.
I have extensive experience helping adolescents navigate academic stress, social anxiety, identity development, emotional regulation, and the impact of difficult life experiences. With adults, I work collaboratively to address mood concerns, trauma histories, life transitions, relationship stress, and patterns that may be keeping them feeling stuck.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and empowered. Together, we work to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and foster meaningful healing and personal growth so clients can move toward becoming the best versions of themselves.
