New to Grow
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over seven years of experience in community mental health and psychotherapy, I am committed to meeting each person where they are. I believe healing begins with feeling safe, understood, and genuinely supported. My approach balances an understanding of your internal experiences with the impact of life circumstances, relationships, and environmental stressors. At the center of my work is connection. I prioritize building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you can feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. I have had the privilege of working with adolescents, transitional-aged youth, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, life transitions, burnout, relationship challenges, severe mental illness, and complex life stressors. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approach that honors each person’s lived experience and resilience. I draw from evidence-based and integrative approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based practices, somatic interventions, and relational therapy. Together, we will find an approach that feels supportive, collaborative, and aligned with your goals.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, what challenges you may be facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You do not need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin, therapy is a process, and we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We’ll also talk about your background, current stressors, strengths, and any goals you may have for therapy. I’ll answer any questions you have about the process, confidentiality, and what our work together may look like. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling supported, understood, and with a sense that you do not have to navigate things alone.
I take a relational and humanistic approach to therapy, meaning I believe healing happens through authentic connection, trust, and emotional safety. I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable bringing your whole self into the room, including the parts that may feel difficult, uncertain, or painful. Clients often appreciate my calm, grounded presence and collaborative style. I bring compassion, curiosity, and respect into our work together while helping clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience. I also integrate mindfulness and somatic approaches to help clients reconnect with themselves in ways that feel empowering and sustainable.
I work best with adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals healing from trauma and PTSD, creating a therapeutic space grounded in safety, trust, and personal agency. I also enjoy working with transitional-aged youth and adults navigating periods of uncertainty, identity development, or major life changes. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply looking for support and greater clarity, therapy can provide a space for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
Other specialties
I identify as
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My approach is grounded in the belief that healing begins with feeling genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your full self and feel supported in exploring whatever brings you to therapy. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, empathy, and respect. Together, we will work toward greater self-understanding, healing, and meaningful growth at a pace that feels right for you.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support individuals healing from trauma and PTSD. Trauma can shape how we think, feel, and move through the world, often leaving us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Together, we will gently explore the impact of difficult experiences while building practical coping skills to reduce distress and restore a greater sense of safety, stability, and control. My goal is to help you process experiences in a way that feels manageable while reconnecting with your strengths and resilience.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based approach that helps individuals better navigate overwhelming emotions, relationship challenges, stress, and patterns that no longer feel helpful. DBT focuses on balancing acceptance and change—honoring where you are while helping you build tools to move toward where you want to be. Together, we may work on mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected in your daily life.
Eclectic
I take an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I draw from different therapeutic methods based on your unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and I believe our work should feel personalized and collaborative. Depending on what feels most supportive, we may explore past experiences, develop practical coping tools, strengthen emotional awareness, or focus on present-day challenges. My goal is to create a therapeutic experience that feels meaningful, supportive, and tailored to you.
Trauma Informed Care
I practice from a trauma-informed perspective, recognizing that past experiences can deeply influence how we experience ourselves, relationships, and the world around us. I prioritize creating a space grounded in safety, trust, compassion, and collaboration. You are always in control of your pace, and there is never pressure to share more than feels comfortable. My goal is to support you in building resilience, reconnecting with your strengths, and moving toward healing in a way that feels empowering and sustainable.
