My name is Briana Henry, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) offering telehealth services across California. I bring over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, flexible, and rooted in evidence-based care. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Client-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to create a personalized experience for each client. These modalities allow me to combine practical skill-building, emotional exploration, and strengths-based problem solving in ways that meet the unique needs of the individual. Sessions may vary—sometimes focused on structured strategies and tools, other times centered on reflection, processing, and validation—depending on what best supports growth in that moment. While I have extensive experience across the lifespan, my primary focus is supporting adults navigating life’s challenges. I frequently work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, caregiver stress, postpartum transitions, or chronic illness. Many arrive in therapy feeling stuck, depleted, or uncertain about their next steps. My role is to provide both tools and a safe, collaborative space where they can regain clarity, resilience, and balance. In addition to my adult work, I also continue to serve children and adolescents when needed. Much of my earlier career was dedicated to supporting youth, and I find it meaningful to walk alongside young people as they navigate emotional, social, and academic challenges. I work with children adjusting to transitions, anxiety, depression, or trauma, as well as teens facing peer difficulties, self-esteem concerns, or identity development. I also actively involve parents and caregivers, offering strategies that strengthen the family system and empower parents to respond with confidence.

Hello! I’m Brenda De Monge, a passionate Marriage and Family Therapist with over 21 years of experience in community mental health. Helping and supporting youth, parents, & individuals from various cultures & socio-economic backgrounds affected by trauma. When working with trauma, sexual, physical, emotional, and domestic violence, my number one priority is safety & meeting my clients where they are, by supporting them & reaching their goals. I use these treatment methods: • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In my practice, I have used CBT to help clients challenge recurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. CBT is effective in understanding how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact with one another. We can implement this in therapy to help you live a less anxious and stressful life. • Trauma-Focused CBT is a short-term therapy designed for children ages 3-18 who have experienced various types of traumas, including physical, emotional, & sexual abuse. When working with young children, the parents/caregivers are key, as they provide ongoing support. By attending sessions, parents will gain a deeper understanding of the root causes of the issues. Over the past 20 years, I have worked with families using this model, & it has been helpful to them. • Seeking Safety is a treatment approach I have used with clients for more than 15 years. It assists individuals dealing with trauma & addiction by emphasizing safety and coping skills. • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) has proven to be a helpful approach in easing obsessive thoughts, reducing intrusive memories, & empowering clients to stay calm while learning ways to handle future challenges and symptoms. Since 2019, I’ve supported children, teens, & adults in managing their post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, & panic disorder through EMDR. In addition, I’ve helped clients with war-related trauma & child sexual assault.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step my approach is all about making the process feel comfortable, supportive, and down-to-earth—like a real conversation, not a clinical checklist. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, going through a big life change, or just feeling stuck, we’ll figure things out together at your pace. I bring a warm, relaxed, and non-judgmental energy to every session, and my goal is to create a space where you can be your full self—laugh, cry, vent, reflect, explore… whatever you need, it's all welcome. I've had the privilege of working with kids, teens, and adults, and I understand that each stage of life comes with its own ups, downs, and curveballs. No matter where you are on your journey, we’ll start there—no pressure, no pretense. Just real talk and real support.

With ten years of experience as a psychotherapist, I help teens and adults heal from trauma, anxiety, and self-doubt so they can live with greater confidence, peace, and self-trust. My work is grounded in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which helps clients process painful experiences and reduce emotional distress at a pace that feels safe and supported. Before starting my private practice, I spent several years working in community mental health and at a youth shelter, supporting individuals navigating trauma, family conflict, and major life transitions. These experiences shaped my belief that lasting change comes from both compassion and courage—the willingness to face what hurts while building new patterns of hope and resilience. I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other evidence-based tools to support your goals. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, meeting you exactly where you are and helping you move toward where you want to be.

Hi, I’m Angie. Are you ready to make some positive changes that will improve your life? Maybe you’re suffering from depression, or anxiety is imposing limitations on how you live your life. Your journey and the life experience that led you here can be complicated, multidimensional, and diverse. I believe the approach to your psychotherapy should be as dynamic as you are and shouldn’t be limited to a “one theory fits all” methodology. You don’t have to face these challenges alone.

Hi, I'm a licensed marriage, family therapist out of California with over a decade of experience in therapy. I have my master's of counseling and a family man dedicated to helping others free themselves from their own trappings. Everyone has a unique journey in life and often times, navigating it on own is what we think we're supposed to do. What if there was another way? That's where I would love to come in and support you. I will be in your corner as you navigate life, where I can cheer you on and call you out. Too often, folks think the burden they have is only for themselves to bear. I want people to know that they are not alone and they don't have to face things alone.

Search therapists by insurance

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by California rather than a city like LA?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across California from San Francisco to San Diego! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in California.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

What are the "Clients say I'm" badges?

Grow Therapy asks patients about their experience with therapists after they have had a certain number of sessions. After enough responses, we add those characteristics to their profiles to help you find the best online therapists for you. We're still working on collecting this information from all our therapists.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
